A woman named Maya Vorderstrasse is being hilariously honest, and the internet is absolutely loving it. Maya was pregnant, and she decided to do something a bit different than the traditional, beautiful pregnancy photos that so many women do.
Maya decided to keep things real. She’s posting photos of her pregnancy, and other motherhood antics, that are honest, real, and uncomfortably hilarious.
“Honestly I was so tired of seeing motherhood portrayed as perfect, flawless, and effortless on social media because I never felt like it was like that for me,” she told Huffington Post. “So I embraced my chaotic life, and decided to share it with everyone in the hopes of helping other mothers realize that it’s OK to not have it all figured out.”
Maya didn’t only decide to post these hysterical photos that were beyond untraditional — but she was going to do it in a super creative way.
The clever and funny mother uses an old-school sandwich board to show the world the very “unglamorous” side of parenting.
Maya’s Instagram account has gone viral, and it’s easy to see why. She’s relatable, she’s hilarious, and she’s lovable. Let’s take a look at some of her best uploads.
27 weeks and enjoying that lower back pain and frequent bathroom breaks.
Maya’s belly is growing, and she can’t see her feet, but she knows the reward is worth it.
At 35 weeks, Maya’s cravings are going strong. Her hormones are raging, but she’s still creative!
Full exhaustion has set in. But she’s definitely at the point where she could sleep just about anywhere.

At long last — total success!
Now, the fun of having a newborn begins. Hooray!
This funny couple certainly has their hands full.
Again…he might want just to keep his mouth shut for a couple more weeks.
But it looks like the loving couple still knows how to have fun through it all.
We hope that this creative and happy family continues to post these wonderfully smile-inducing photos as their kids grow. We’ve all become so attached; we can’t stop now!
