Traditionally, at weddings, the bride gets to dance with her father one last time, as a send-off to her new life. There are some father-bride tandems who have raised the bar and choreographed their own dance sequence to entertain the wedding guests. There are also weddings where either the father or the bride use this tradition to surprise the other with a sentimental tribute.

Whichever one they decide, it’s a tradition all the wedding guests look forward to witnessing.

The dance started out sweet and sentimental.

The groom led his mother in a slow dance to Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide”. It was definitely a sweet touching moment. The bride, wedding party and the guests were gathered in a circle by the edge of the dance floor to watch.

A fun tradition to remember forever.

Traditionally the father and daughter dance was more standard at weddings, but in the last 15 years the mother and son dance has become more and more popular. It’s a touching moment for the son to honor his mother and the way she raised him. The song choice can make the moment extra special when it’s packed with meaning and adding even more fun when a choreographed routine is added.
