There isn’t a night that goes by that Jimmy Fallon doesn’t make people laugh on The Tonight Show.
Not to mention, he has interviewed hundreds of movie celebrities, controversial personalities, famous musicians and performers, among others.
A product of Saturday Night Live, he brought his signature comic flair into The Tonight Show.
Jimmy always comes up with different segments that his guests would agree doing to entertain the audience. Some of this famous segments include “Lip Sync Battle” (which now has its own show on Paramount Network), “Charades”, and “Wheel of Musical Impressions”.
Some of his skits are based on what the audience wants to see again and again, or based on the information he receives about his guests.
In this episode, Jimmy Fallon had Morgan Freeman at the studio, where they talked about many things about him.
Did you know that Morgan Freeman is now a beekeeper?
He converted 124-acre ranch in Mississippi into a bee farm when he heard there’s been a decline in the bee population. Two weeks before this interview, the bees arrived at his farm from Arkansas.
It’s also in this episode where Jimmy Fallon, the Tonight Show staff, audience and viewers learned who should and shouldn’t wear a beekeeper suit when feeding bees.
Jimmy also showed him a clip of Frank Caliendo doing an impression of Morgan Freeman, while reading Lebron James’ resignation letter from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They also talked about one of Jimmy’s favorite shows that Morgan executive produced and hosted, Through The Wormhole. But Morgan held up his hand to interrupt him and Jimmy asked, “No?”
Morgan answered, “Through the Wormhole.” He continued, “With Morgan Freeman.”
Everybody laughed out loud while Jimmy apologized and rolled his eyes.
Morgan faced the audience with a sneer at Jimmy. Jimmy retorted and said, “Well, this is The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Not with, starring!” Morgan, Jimmy, and the audience laughed.
It turned out Jimmy Fallon was a big fan of the show, which ran from 2010 to 2017 on the Science network.
He wanted to recreate on the segments they did on the show, talking with helium.
Everybody loved to hear Morgan Freeman talk because everybody loved his voice. And now, Jimmy wanted to know what Morgan Freeman would sound like if his voice was on helium.
He took out two blown up balloons and asked Morgan if he they could do the rest of the interview with their helium voices. Morgan pretended to protest.
“Don’t quit on me now, Morgan!” Jimmy insisted.
Morgan didn’t say anything but he did reach for the balloon when Jimmy handed it to him. “I’m gonna do it, too!” Jimmy continued to unclip the bottom of the balloon and said to Morgan, “I love having you here on the show…It’s so fun when you come here.”
At first, Morgan pretended to inhale the helium and talk in a high voice. “I shouldn’t be doing this. It’s very undignified.” He finally inhaled the helium and talked in his helium voice and told Jimmy, “See? I told you.”
For his last question, Jimmy thanked him for coming on the show and asked, “Would you ever like to come back?” Do you know what Morgan’s answer was?
