A great love story brings us hope and touches our souls knowing that somewhere out in the world is our perfect match. Through lives, endless trials and tribulations love provides a light at the end of the tunnel and unconditional support through dark times.

A love story between two people named Nick and Gabi is another one to add to the list of great love stories, as well as, to appreciate the unconditional and true love shared between them. For these two, their story first began in April of 2019 when they met at the annual National Down Syndrome Society convention in Detroit, Michigan.

Gabi is 21 years old and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina where she owns her own coffee business. At her business, Gabi makes sure to employs those who share her condition or have some form of disability.

Nick is 30 years old resides in Canton, Ohio. In Ohio, Nick is a part of the world’s first improv comedy troupe called The Improvaneers who are performers with Down Syndrome.

When the two first met at the convention the clicked immediately but when they went their separate ways they somehow managed to forget to share their contact information with one another. But through some diligent research, Nick eventually found Gabi on social media, and the two became even closer. Although they had to wait sometime to see each other in person again. That is until June came around which is when Nick and Gabi got the opportunity to reunite at another conference this time in Pittsburgh.

“FINALLY….we get to see each other again after 7 weeks of texting, phone calls and FaceTime.”
They were both overjoyed they got to reunite in person again, however, the sadness that there were no events like this planned any time soon in the future loomed over them. Gabi could hardly contain her sadness from being separated from Nick expressing to her mom how much she missed him already. Which in turn devastated her mom seeing her daughter so unhappy. Both Nick and Gabi’s moms devised a plan for an ultimate reunion that was captured on video and is now being shared touching hearts across the world with over 9,000 views.

The reunion between Nick and Gabi was a surprise of epic proportions when he saw Gabi Nick immediately fell to his knees. Once he regained his composure he ran to her giving her the biggest hug while twirling her around.

Since the world has taken an interest in this beautiful love story, Gabi and Nick decided to start a shared Facebook page dedicated to sharing their journey and continued love story with the world.

Although the two go through being separated for long periods of time special news was shared on September 27th of 2019 with a picture of Gabi wearing a promise ring from Nick.
