Krechelle Carter, a 27-year-old mother from Adelaide, has 6 kids under 6 years old. As you can probably imagine, Krechelle and her family often get odd looks and stares when out in public, but it seems to be the stupid questions that annoy her the most.

People just can’t seem to stop shaming her!

In her blog, Eight at Home, Krechelle compiled the top 5 most annoying questions that she gets asked on a daily basis— as well some hilarious, snarky responses!

She explains, “I’ve tried to ignore [the comments], and smile, and keep walking, but I’ve found the only way to deal with constant negative commenters is to give them what they really want to hear. “

So, here we go!

“They are not all yours are they?”

“Yep, sure are. Born and bred from my uterus. Surprisingly enough, my pelvic floor is still fantastic- isn’t it, babe?” while winking at husband Dave.

“Do they all have the same father???!”

“Well, we haven’t had them genetically tested, but we’re fairly certain the first four are this guy’s,” while pointing at husband.

“Do you own a TV?”

“Actually, we own 3. However, who would pass up mind-blowing sex for TV? Are you nuts?”

“Is this man your husband?”

“No, actually my husband’s at home. He deserves a rest. This is my lover— Fernando.”

I don’t understand why this family’s choices are anybody else’s business; people clearly have a bit too much time on their hands.

And although people seem to think family sizes have been decreasing, Steve Martin, a sociologist from the University of Maryland tells Baby Center that large families have always been common, explaining:

“Two [children] is the norm, but for every 34 mothers who stop at 2, there are 28 who have three, four or more.”

According to Baby Center, professional moms have twice as many kids at home than they did in 1977, and 12% of higher-income women had 3 or more children— compared to 3% in 1995.

Although Krechelle’s responses to these questions are pretty hilarious, there’s a serious message behind her intent.

She writes, “It’s not okay to make someone feel like the amount of children they have is wrong or right. It’s actually no one’s goddamn business whether you have zero children or ten children if they are happy and healthy and loved! We should all be supportive of one another; so many beautiful people out there support us and I would be lost without them.”
