WOW! What an incredible story

Heather suffered a parent’s worst nightmare in 2013, when her seven-month-old son, Lucas, passed away while under the care of a babysitter. At that moment, Heather was forced to make a decision. Should she donate Lucas’ organs? Not wanting other parents to experience her pain, Heather put Lucas’ organs up for donation, and they ended up helping three other children in need.

Four-year-old Jordan was one of those children. She was born with a congenital heart defect, which forced her to spend most of her life confined to a hospital bed. Jordan’s only hope was a heart transplant, and she was a perfect match with Lucas’s heart.

In the video below, Heather meets Jordan for the first time. This is after Jordan has already received the heart. It’s a highly emotional meeting, and Heather is allowed to hear Lucas’ heart beat for the first time since he passed away. Moreover, Jordan gifted Heather a Build-A-Bear teddy bear that plays a recording of Lucas’ heartbeat whenever you push it.
