If every court had someone like Judge Frank Caprio, the world would seriously be a much happier place and that’s the God’s honest truth right there.

Katie Wallace’s Jovial Case

When Katie Wallace who was charged for 1 mile over the speed limit entered into the court, Judge Frank was obviously fascinated by the number of kids that she brought along with her.

Inspector Quinn gave his two cents on the matter, responding to Judge Frank’s question with, “Judge there were less kids my freshman class.” At this point, Katie realized that she wasn’t in any serious trouble and let out a soft chuckle.

Frank continued to add some more light humor to the situation and ask Kate if she found her kids and whether she rented them, to which she replied, “unfortunately, they don’t go back,” resulting in both her, the judge and the audience having a good laugh or two.

Frank’s next question revolved around which one of the kids were twins. Katie responded by saying Anya and Eric, who from the looks of it were the middle kids of the bunch.

Then Frank asked which one of them was the most talkative or ‘vociferous’ as he put it and Katie just replied with a simple ‘yes’. She then questions her own kids about who’s the most talkative before Alex, the firefighter-hat wearing boy with a yellow shirt raised his hand and Judge Frank invited him to come over to his bench to which he did.

Alex gave Frank his hat when the latter asked for it and did so with a smile. While having a conversation with Alex, Frank started a conversation, constantly questioning him while also leading him to what he should answer

The first question Frank asked Alex was if you’d like to be a judge. In a split second when the microphone reached Alex’s mouth Frank pulled the mic back and through in a fast “say yes” and followed up with a similar response; “yes”.

Then Frank asked Alex whether his mother was guilty or not. It seemed Alex was mature enough to know he has to say “not” instead of just playing along.

The exchange that follows, however, was both cute and downright laughable:

Frank: “should we find her some money or should we let her go?”

Alex: “Yes!”

Frank: “Yes what?”

Alex: “Yes, money!”

Katie was a bit nervous at that point even though it was taken as a joke and asked Alex to come back over to her.

But it was this one that won the video over for many viewers:

Frank: “How about $50?”

Alex: “YES!”

Katie playfully gasped and nodded.

Frank: “How about 35 dollars in court costs?”

Alex: “Yes!”

Frank “How about five days in jail?”

Alex: “Yes!”

Katie along with the people in attendance giggled and clapped and Alex’s sweet and innocent responses.

Well, what else do you expect from a preschool kid?

Inspector Quinn: “I can’t win”

Frank then jokingly requested Quinn to “get the cuffs.” but instead of doing that, when asked Alex, “How about a raise for inspector Quinn?” Frank lead Alex to say “no” and he did so while enjoying the moment.

Final Verdict

Frank then finished off by having Alex say that his mom is doing one mile over the limit and that this case should be dismissed. Frank also gave Alex the opportunity to hit the gavel on top of the bench to officially close the case.
