We all have our dreams, big and small, that we carry in our hearts since our younger years. We just can’t let go of them until we finally make a move to realize them, even if we are older.

For 38-year-old Missouri mom Nicole Clemens, being into gymnastics has always been a huge part of her teen years. She was into it when she was younger, but she gradually drifted off from the sport as the years passed by.

And, for more than 20 years since she started to like gymnastics, there has always been one move that she felt afraid to execute. She thought she’ll never be able to do it anymore, but that’s where she was wrong.

You see, Nicole loved gymnastics so much that after all these years, she decided to re-acquaint herself to the sport by joining adult gymnastics classes. During her free time, she even coaches a recreational gym team!

This reconnection to gymnastics led her to finally complete a long-standing “what if” on this side of her life. She finally executed a stunt that she was so afraid to do while she was in her teen years.

It was a shock for her to finally do it. She could not believe she did, but she most definitely made a great stunt execution! She shared her amazing experience on Twitter which eventually made noise and gathered attention. She just got 4.7 million views on Twitter, no big deal right?

“In the spirit of being freaking proud of myself and also knowing I’m about to be fat shamed on the Internet, I present to you me, a 38 year old mom and teacher, doing a thing I was afraid to do when I was a 14 year old gymnast. Next week: add a full (and straighten my legs),” Nicole posted on Twitter.

Nicole shared with Buzzfeed that the move she completed was called a “roundoff back layout” and although she found her stunt execution imperfect, especially the part about her not straightening her legs, we totally think she did a great job. Her teen self would surely be proud of her for overcoming her fear and just doing it…finally!

Her daughter who is now and advanced competitive gymnast would definitely be proud of her as well. She did an amazing move and even if it seemed to be a scary feat to accomplish, this fiery Momma made it possible!

“It took me about 25 years to land this layout,” Nicole told Scary Mommy. “If you count being afraid of it as a kid and then taking 24 or so years off. About a year ago I started taking this adult gymnastics class and I’ve been working on tumbling in general during that time. I had to build back up from very basic skills and a few months ago my coach asked when I was going to upgrade to this layout skill. That was the push I needed to make it happen.”

Nicole is surely one of the most amazing moms―and gymnasts―we have ever known. She surely deserved all the good praises and love that everyone on the internet has been giving her.

Have you watched Nicole’s execution of her most feared stunt? We bet you’ll think she did an incredible job and did not look afraid at all in her video below.
