Michael Bublé is a world class performer with a timeless voice. He sings not only his own music but also sings classic songs as well. A special moment that Michael Bublé includes at many of his concerts, is to bring a random fan from the audience to sing with him. When he brought a fan onto the stage in Amsterdam, the fan even shocked Michael!
Michael Bublé was performing at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, when he invited a random audience member to sing “Fly Me To The Moon” for the crowd. When the audience member started to sing, his voice shocked Michael Bublé in the best way. Out of all the odds, the audience member was a Dutch artist, the talented Richy Brown.
Richy Brown had not been expecting to sing for Michael Bublé and the entire crowd that night, but he was definitely up for the challenge. Michael told the crowd himself, after finding out Richy’s name, that it was not set up at all and he does this occasionally. Once Richy started to sing the tune, the crowd went wild!
“By the way, just for those of you because I hear this sometimes, for those of you in the audience tonight who thinks that this is set up or this is something that I’ve ever rehearsed or done, I’ve never met Richy before … this is the first time we have ever met,” Michael Bublé told the crowd before Richy took the microphone.”
Michael’s face tells it all, that it was an amazing surprise. Everyone enjoyed listening to Richy Brown’s velvet voice as he sang Frank Sinatra’s words in “Fly Me To The Moon.” Michael sways to the music next to Ricky the entire time, happily enjoying the performance and Richy Brown.
When Richy started to freestyle during the song, Michael is shocked again! After his moment of shock though, Michael keeps clapping Richy through the song. Michael told the crowd and Richy after the performance, “I thought you were going to go for the big note at “please be true” but you [scat singing notes]” and the crowd erupts into applause again.
What a moment for Richy Brown! Richy had an entire stadium to sing to and to sing alongside Michael Bublé! Richy’s personality was able to shine through the song with freestyle which made it even more special. Michael Bublé even told the crowd that he felt Richy Brown’s voice and performance was a mix between Mariah Carey and Frank Sinatra! That is some very high praise coming from Michael Bublé himself.
Richy Brown posted the video to his YouTube page where the video went viral! Since Richy posted the video it has been watched over 1 million times! With the performance Richy gave and the talent he has, this is probably not the last time we will hear about Richy Brown! Maybe next time it will be his concert where he gives the microphone to an unplanned talented audience member!
