62-year-old Meryl was ready for a new look. So, she decided to fly across the ocean from the UK to Minneapolis, Minnesota – just to get the Hollywood star treatment!
At The Makeover Guy’s Appearance Studios all your beauty dreams can come true. With Christopher Hopkins behind the scissors, Meryl was certainly in the right place.
Some of us keep the same style for years and years. If it’s not broke, why fix it, correct?
This is how Meryl was. She admitted that she hadn’t of changed her hairstyle or color “for a very, very long time.” For this reason, the mom was excited to try something fresh.
So what did the bubbly Brit envision for her new look?
She explained:
“I’m feeling I need a change. There is some elusive style out there or even color that I think Christopher might find. So that’s what I’m looking for.”
It was time for The Makeover Guy to work his magic. But, before he did, Meryl had one last preparation before she made the leap to become a different version of herself. She had a drink.
“Now I’ve had my mimosa, I’m relaxed, I’m good to go.”
If you’ve never seen Christopher Hopkins work, you’re in for a fantastic treat. He’s transformed people from all walks of life in his salon. From famous celebrities to just your “average girl” – he knows how to make his clients feel like a million bucks.
On top of being a miracle worker in the beauty department, Christopher’s also a talented musician and author as well. You might even recognize him from his many appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show as a guest expert.
Drum roll please…
If looking like a star is what Meryl was hoping for, then yes, mission accomplished. Christopher gave her a gorgeous and multi-toned hair color that had the uniqueness she was hoping for. On top of that, the makeup made all her features pop.
“I would’ve never thought to have gone this color, but, it suits my warm tones. Definitely – I love it!”
Before the makeover, Meryl admitted that she really felt like she was “25” on the inside. Thanks to The Makeover Guy, her outside appearance more matched her inner youth.
When Meryl finally revealed her new look to her husband and son, you could tell they were just as thrilled about it. Their faces lit up walking through the door.
Now that all the hard work was done, everyone at Appearance Studios decided to let loose! While Meryl’s husband played the piano, Christopher even jumped on too and showed off some skills (it’s a lot of fun to watch).
Then, just like a real Hollywood starlet – Meryl comes strutting out the doors in the salon. She shows off her theatrical side with a little performance to a musical show tune. Hello, Meryl!
