Restaurants and fast-food chains have started to go back to business in Wales, and in Swansea, people are lining up to grab their McDonald’s meal after months of being on quarantine. People are starting to get annoyed with waiting when suddenly, an employee who’s supposed to direct traffic, busts a move that left everyone in awe and total shock.

The drive-thru guy just danced to Beyonce and the customers lined up in the drive-thru are absolutely floored by the guy’s fabulous moves!

Meet Gavyn Brewster, the 26-year-old floor manager at McDonald’s who left drivers in amazement when he danced spectacularly to hits by the likes of Beyonce, Shakira, and Lady Gaga. His impromptu dance number amused everyone waiting in line, directing them from annoyance to entertainment in no time at all.

It was his first day back to work and he’s absolutely nailing customer service!

“We opened at 11 am and had a queue from 9.30 am,” shared Gavyn. “The way we split our car park is so that the cars are split into one of three lanes and then I direct one at a time into the drive-thru to keep as many cars as possible off the main road. I started speaking to all the customers in the cars and getting them ready.”

As it turns out, this guy is not just any guy. He’s also a professional drag queen who knows how to keep people happy and entertained with his antics and performances.

“I’m a professional drag queen as well so I’m used to entertaining crowds. My name is Diana D and I’m a resident drag queen at the Kings Arms in Swansea in the nights and before the lockdown I was doing weddings, birthdays, hen parties, the lot.”

His other job as a professional drag queen made him realize that morning that people needed some form of entertainment because waiting in a long line just to get food is never a joyous moment. The customers were patiently waiting, but there were clearly not enjoying the wait.

And so, the drag queen in Gavyn spoke and the rest, as they say, is history.

“I was chatting to people and asking them if they knew what they were going to order and then someone was playing music. They blasted it up and I was dancing away and some people were recording me.”

Seeing that the customers were having a great time because of his impromptu dance number, Gavyn even made sure that they really get a performance they won’t ever forget.

People were gushing about the floor manager slash drag queen’s flamboyant dance number!

“It was at about 3.50 pm and we were only there about 15 minutes but we saw him dancing,” Charlene, 35 years old shared. “He said it would make his day if I played his favourite song and I found it and he started dancing for us all. He put a lot of smiles on people’s faces.”

Someone from the line of customers recorded Gavyn and uploaded a clip of his dance on social media. The video has gone absolutely viral and the drag queen could not believe how much his simple customer service created such a huge impact on people online.

The messages he received was more than enough reward for his genuine and superb service to the customers.

“So many people have messaged me and I’ve seen one video with 46,000 views. As the afternoon went on people were coming in saying ‘you’re the one on Facebook’ and I was even taking requests. People have been messaging me saying ‘You’ve made me smile’ and that’s what my job is whether it’s serving in McDonald’s or in drag.”
