A great makeover cannot only change a person’s physical appearance but can change a person’s entire confidence and personality. When a person’s feels they look great, they feel great. Christopher Hopkins knows this better than almost anybody.
Christopher Hopkins has been giving people make overs since 1990 and he knows that make overs are more than skin deep, it is about people realizing their inner beauty should shine through.
Christopher Hopkins is more commonly known as “The Makeover Guy.”
The Makeover Guy specializes in makeovers for women over 45 years of age. He has even written a book titled, “Staging Your Comeback: A Complete Beauty Revival for Women Over 45.” The book is explained as,
“Hopkins champions women over 45, teaching them how to command attention by looking and feeling great. With compassion and brutal honesty, Hopkins tackles and rectifies problems that women face as they age.”
Since 1990, The Makeover Guy has given thousands of makeovers.
One of the makeovers was with Mary from Ripon, Wisconsin. Mary was 59 at the time of her makeover but felt 72.
Mary is a mother to two boys and has six grandchildren. As everyone can tell from her “before” look, she was already a gorgeous woman. Yet, she did not feel that way.
Mary explains, “In the last four to five years I lost my confidence. I feel invisible and I don’t want to go out. I’m comfortable staying in the house eating popcorn, watching movies and netflix.”
When a person does not feel pretty on the outside their confidence can drop and that is what happened to Mary.
Mary wanted to stay inside and not enjoy life to the fullest, as she used to do as a younger woman. Mary had a purpose for the makeover with The Makeover Guy.
“I would like this makeover to inspire me to want to go out and have fun with my grandkids and go to their games and not be worried about how I look and feel. I just want to feel confident again,” Mary stated.
This is where The Makeover Guy took over.
It was not only about her physical appearance, it was about Mary gaining her life back. She wanted to enjoy her grandkids and to let go of her worries about personal appearance.
The Makeover Guy was able to do just that! Mary’s personal makeover put a bright new smile on her face and that is saying something because she had a great smile before. In her “before” full 360-degree circle, she is smiling but is still a bit nervous. In her “after” full 360-degree circle she has a wide smile and is even laughing.
Her entire personality is shining through and Mary knows that this makeover is just the beginning of her new transformation.
Mary reflects by telling others, “If you’re feeling invisible there is always something you can do to stay motivated, to stay current, and this is a great way to get started.”
Mary’s confidence is back and it all started because of a makeover. The Makeover Guy not only transformed Mary’s appearance, he transformed her outlook on life. She is not the only person that knows she looks great, so do the viewers of her makeover!
