I hope someone puts on a performance like this the next time one of my flights is delayed!

Traveling is amazing, it’s one of life’s greatest joys. It provides us with the opportunity to experience new cultures and get out of our comfort zones. The absolute worst thing about traveling, though? Waiting around in airports.

Whether you have a long layover or a delayed flight, passing time at the airport can be pretty boring — unless you happen to be at the same gate as the guy in this hilarious video.

If you happened to be at the Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, boarding a Southwest Airlines flight with this guy, you were in for a real treat. He turned a crowded, busy gate into the scene of an impromptu karaoke party.

A man named Mike Vadala was lucky enough to witness this entertaining scene and he posted a video of the man on Facebook.

“So our gate at Nola Southwest required everyone who asked a question to sing,” said Vadala in the caption of the Facebook video below. It’s likely the gate agents were trying to pare down the line, but there was one passenger who wasn’t a bit scared off by the demand. “This guy went off,” said Mike.

Vadala starts filming as the passenger starts singing and dancing to “No Diggity” by Blackstreet. He even starts to get other waiting passengers to join in on the song.

The Southwest Airlines gate agents can’t help but laugh and cheer him on as he entertains the airport crowd. They probably had no idea that they’d have someone actually grab the microphone and start singing. He was definitely helping to lighten the mood and lift the spirits of anyone with a delayed flight.

All the people waiting at the gate, and people passing by, were stopping to watch the impromptu performance; many people breaking out their phones to film the mood-lifting moment. If his silly antics are an indication of his normal personality, he’s probably a pretty great friend to have around.

He wraps up his singing and dancing performance in the most fitting way possible — with a mic drop. The hilarious video is below.

(UPDATE since I’m now a viral sensation: My kids are all musicians and are ALMOST as good as this guy. Check out MVT, MaryKate Vadala & Checks and Exes on Facebook!)
