Every single day we face traffic, most of the time, with our busy schedule and the amount of time we spend waiting in our cars, road rage is more common than we think.

Bumping into someone’s car is not really something that we would intentionally do but accidents happen. Can you just imagine the amount of money involved into repairs? How about the paperwork and the stress of having to deal with the anger of the vehicle’s owner?

Being a responsible citizen is of course best in these types of situations. No matter how small or big the accident is, you have to own up to the responsibility. This is what happened when someone posted on Reddit about an accident that happened to her a few days ago.

Slathbog, of ‘Humans Being Bros’ community in Reddit, shared her story along with a screenshot of their conversation.

“I made a 1-inch scrape on a stranger’s taillight while parallel parking yesterday. Today I got this text from them,” said Slathbog in her post. Then we see the screenshot.

Most of us would immediately think that she would receive an angry message from the owner, right? However, she was surprised to see that the owner of the truck told her that when she looked at the scrape, it didn’t look bad and it can easily be buffered.

The owner also mentioned how she appreciates Slathbog’s note and wished her a blessed day.

Slathbog offered the truck owner that if needed, she can buy any buffing supplies but the owner of the truck politely declined and replied.

“That’s really kind of you man! You know what; if it’s possible… use that money on somebody else. Whether it’s a gift for a friend or a complete stranger, if you could pay it forward that way, I would really appreciate.”

Slathbog’s humble note made way for a friendly conversation of two people. Surely, she didn’t expect to receive such a wholesome message but she did.

If you treat a person with respect, most likely, it will be returned.

For some, the temptation to just drive away and forget about what happened is more favorable but we all know that it’s wrong.

It doesn’t matter if it’s like a hairline or a big one, if it’s something that we are responsible for; we need to do what is right.

Slathbog’s post on Reddit has been given more than 68.k upvotes, lots of comments, and a 5 silver awards. It’s just one of those stories that make you feel happy; it makes you feel that somehow, in situations like these, the outcome can actually be a good one.
