Whether it’s singing a tune while you’re cooking or an all-out dance routine like Tom Cruise’s dance scene in Risky Business, every person has done something like this at least once. You turn the music up and you dance your heart out.

It may seem silly but it’s actually good exercise and a great way to lift your spirits.

Dancing actually has great benefits for your mental health, too.

According to Healthline, dancing boosts cognitive performance and if you need a reason to get moving a lot of research shows how dancing can maintain and even boost your ability to think as you age.

This is all the more reason to turn up your favorite track and break out your best moves. Don’t worry, you don’t have to have stellar moves like a contestant on Dancing with the stars, you just have to get moving.

Speaking of your best moves, in 2020, millions of TikTok users joined in on dance challenges all around the world and quite a few went viral. It was a great break from the monotony of staying at home and helped bring people together.

Even if you didn’t do a challenge, dancing in any capacity is great exercise. The WHO states several key facts of why physical activity is important.

One fact is that physical activity contributes to preventing and managing noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and diabetes. Another key fact is that it reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety. All are very good reasons to keep moving.

Aaron Simpson’s wife sure didn’t.

Pictured here you see his wife in the kitchen in her own world unaware that she’s about to be a viral star.

Sometimes you just want to get a break from the daily grind and let your hair down. That may come in the form of singing using a broom as a microphone or and all-out solo dance party in the kitchen. The best part is you think you’re all alone.

Whatever happened to those times when we didn’t care if anyone saw?

In any case, it’s pretty hard to resist Do you love me by the Contours.

The video is less than a minute but there’s no doubt she’s enjoying herself.

She is seen in the video dressed casually in sweats reading a recipe book. The way she dances shows that this is a woman who is comfortable in her own skin.

The groovy beat of Do you love me by the Contours is hard for her hips to resist and her husband couldn’t help but film her.

“Every once in a while I catch my wife singing and dancing while she is working or working out. This clip happens to be in the kitchen while she looks up recipes,” Aaron states in the video’s caption.

I guess this isn’t the only video her husband has in his archives! It’s so refreshing to see her reaction when she is caught off guard.

The confidence and carefree vibes of this woman go to show that it’s ok to let loose every once in a while. This video is proof that even the smallest moments can have the biggest impact.
