It’s no secret that every relationship goes through hard times. If some form of arguing doesn’t happen in a relationship, it can lead to problems. If there is too much arguing, it can lead to an unhealthy relationship. And if you only bottle up those arguments, it can lead to a potential break-up. A healthy relationship example would be to get creative with how you handle fights and communicate, and that’s exactly what this man did on Twitter.
Twitter user Theodore Gussie or @tgflx recently went viral for a series of photos of his girlfriend Adilene Venegas that he posted to the site. The caption is what sparked peoples interests and the photos are what kept them scrolling through his post. He tweeted out, “Sometimes when my girl makes me mad I upload pictures with her forehead edited to be slightly bigger.” After his before and after photos got so much attention and went viral, he shared a few more to show off his creativity and photoshop skills.
According to Gussie, whenever Adilene irritates him he just tweaks her photos without her knowing. Another piece of the prank is that depending on how much she got on his nerves, that influences how big her forehead is, and in some, it’s quite noticeable. “I normally don’t post them but this is an actual thing, I just slightly or drastically inflate her head depending on the anger level,” he said.
Little did Gussie know, that he would find a whole community of people that did similar things to their wives and partners, or people that looked up to him for thinking of it first. His post had over 41 thousand comments and shares. So many Twitter users reached out and responded with how they did the same thing, and attaching their examples with pictures. One user posted a before and after photo of him and his girlfriend, one looking good at a nice dinner and the other at a baseball game with a pinched up face.
The prank is rather genius (as long as his girlfriend agrees) and is a great way to handle the problems that he’s having. Studies show that couples who use humor handle their fights and disagreements are end up being more successful than couples that don’t. There have even multiple been studies involving over 15,000 people total that have researched this, A shared sense of humor makes the relationship stronger, as long as the couple is on the same page and the jokes don’t go too far. We still don’t know specifically she did to deserve this sort of shaming, and though we haven’t heard much of her side we can only hope that she gets some form of revenge on her man.
