Clarence Purvisโ wife, known as Miss Carolyn, was his whole life. Every breath he took, every beat of his heart, it was for her.
According to TODAY, Clarence was 24-years-old when he met his true love, Carolyn Todd, in 1948 when she was a 16-year-old senior at Glennville High School.
The two were wed the following year and spent the next 63 years in love.
โAinโt nobody loved one another more than me and my wife loved one another,โ Clarence told WTOC. โI wanted what she wanted and she wanted what I wanted.โ
And the Purvisโ great romance continued even after Carolynโs death in 2013.

Clarence, 93, continued he and his wifeโs tradition of eating lunch at Smithโs Restaurant in Reidsville, Georgia.
And he even takes his wife with him.
โShe was always with me when we were livinโ,โ he explains. โSheโs with me now.โ
He brings his wifeโs picture with him every time he frequents the diner so that they can continue eating lunch there together. Clarenceโs devotion to his wife has warmed the hearts of hundreds of people who eat at Smithโs Restaurant.

โI asked my husband, I said, โYou know if something happened to me, will you put my picture on the table?โ He said, โI donโt think so dear.โ He said, โI love you but, that might be a little much,โโ said the restaurantโs owner Joyce James.
Many have told Clarence, who had three children with his wife, that heโs lonely and should try and find a new girlfriend but he remains dedicated to his wife thus far.
โThey said if I get me a girlfriend things will be better,โ Clarence said. โI could ask her, could I get me a girlfriend? You know what sheโd say? If you want too. Thatโs how we operated.โ

He is so dedicated to his wife that he never turns off her favorite lamp and visits her grave at least four times a day or 125 times a month.
โI love her that much. And miss her that much,โ he explains. โAnd think she would with me.โ
He sits and talks to her and will kiss the portrait of her that is attached to her marble headstone.
โI love you, baby. I wish you could go home with me,โ he says kneeling at her grave. โCome on letโs go. You canโt go or you would, wouldnโt you? I would stay in your place.โ
