You learn something new every day.
With only approximately 20 percent of the ocean discovered, you never know what kinds of crazy stuff youโll find down there.
Usually, weโd be talking about the wildlife but, in this case, itโs what this diver did with an egg 45 feet down that has the internet in awe.
You wonโt believe what this egg does 45 feet down.
The mysteries of the ocean
With all the accomplishments of mankind, itโs baffling that the oceans of our world are vastly undiscovered.
I mean, weโve been to the Moon, sent robots to Mars, and are getting ready to offer space travel to civilians, but somehow weโve explored under 20 percent of the ocean.

So why have we discovered so little of our vast ocean? There are several reasons why humans have been unable to explore the oceanโs deepest areas.
For one, the visibility.
We canโt see anything down there because itโs pitch black. Two, itโs freezing down there, and three, the pressure down there is too intense for humans.
Nasa oceanographer Dr. Gene Carl Feldman said:

โIn some ways, itโs a lot easier to send people into space than it is to send people to the bottom of the ocean. The intense pressures in the deep ocean make it an extremely difficult environment to explore.โ
So what happens if you crack an egg 45 feet down?
This diver found out first-hand.
And itโs straight-up bizarre.
Tools for the job.
When the diver first tries to take the egg to the bottom to crack it, he realizes he doesnโt have the strength down there to break the shell.
So he returns to the surface to grab a bulky underwater camera to crack it with.
The cracked egg stays completely intact.
Typically, when you crack an egg, you can count on a runny mess of yolk and egg white, but not if youโre 45 feet under water.
Instead of a runny mess, the diver is shocked to see that the cracked egg stays completely intact as it begins floating away like some new type of jellyfish.
It caught attention.
After cracking the egg underwater and returning to the surface, the diver heads back down to check on his floating Jelly Fish-looking egg but someone else had already found it.
The floating egg quickly became fish food.
By the time the diver gets back down to his egg, all thatโs left is the little bits of yolk that one lucky fish left behind.
