A Noble, Selfless Journey
There is no doubting the fact that a life-threatening illness is something that can change a person’s life forever and it must’ve been heart-wrenching for David and Leandra when they found out that their father had been diagnosed with cancer.
David and Leandra appeared on the Rachael Ray Show to explain their story as to why David hasn’t cut his hair off for over three years after finding out that his father’s diagnosis.
Upon the shocking revelation, both David and Leandra cut their hair and then opened up a fundraiser to see who could raise the most money and after they did that, they would shave each other’s heads off, which they did. And David hasn’t even considered cutting his hair since then.
A Little Teaser
But now, the time has come for David to lose those luscious locks that he grew meticulously once more by donating it to charity. When celebrity hairstylist Tabatha Coffey tied much of his long locks in a knot for a good trimming session, she asked the length of the cut to which David’s sister replied:
“The shorter the better.“
When the procedure began, the audience (talking about the ladies) couldn’t bear to see all of those beautiful strands disappear before their very eyes. Rachel herself, found it very hard to watch it happen with an arm’s length of her. Upon halfway there, Tabatha pointed out:
“There is also a lot of hair there!”
And now that the bulk of his length was gone, Tabatha would work on the rest of David’s hair at the back of the stage and nobody, not even David, would be able to see the magic of Tabatha’s grooming until it was done and ready.

And now the moment of truth: David’s new hairdo. One foot out and the ladies in attendance, including Rachel and Leandra, could not believe the transformation. This revelation is something that words can never do any justice.
Now it was David’s turn to witness the ‘new him‘ and upon turning around to view the enormous visual panel on the stage, both David (who threw in a bleeped word) and the audience was happily clapping.
Leandra herself couldn’t believe the spectacle that lay before her and could hardly believe that she was staring at her own brother, saying, “I don’t recognize him.” Rachel once again was in awe of how handsome David was looking in his new everything.
Tabatha acknowledged that David has “the most beautiful hair,” and said that he needs to look like a professional-looking guy in college or “just a sexy beast” as Rachel put it.
