Hair cuts are fairly common for most people, but not everybody gets them on the regular. This man didn’t get a hair cut for 5 years, all because he didn’t trust anyone to cut it. On the Rachel Ray show, he made a drastic decision and let the stylist cut it all off.
It starts with a couple calling out their friend for his long “hippie hair” on the Rachel Ray show.
The couple in the Rachel Ray audience starts to talk about their friend, Joey’s, long hair as if he’s not sitting right next to them. The bashful friend has an embarrassed smile on his face as they talk about him getting a date.
“Our question we’re asking for a friend, he has a little bit of crazy long hippie hair. We’re trying to get him to get it together a little bit, maybe go on a date or meet somebody if he cuts his hair,” said the couple.
People even call him “Jon Snow” because of his long hair! Famous stylist, Tabatha Coffey, quickly got to work.
When Joey he agrees to let Tabatha cut his hair, he had no idea just how much she would cut off. She quickly ran over to the chair and grabbed the big scissors, just like that, five years of hair was cut off.
He looks devastated as she begins to cut his whole ponytail off at once, the crowd cheers as she held up the long hair she’d just-chopped.
“This is five years ending in one second.” Said Joey.
Joey’s parents enjoy a meal from Rachel Ray while he’s getting his hair cut, they can’t believe the results.
The show goes on while Tabatha works her magic, then, with Joey’s parents eating a meal onstage came the big reveal. They can’t believe their eyes, is that their son? Believe it or not, that’s the long-haired “Jon Snow” from the beginning of the show.
Joey looks like a new person, his long hair is completely gone as if it had never been there. By the audience’s reaction, you can tell they love it. Maybe now, Joey will be able to get a date. His two friends that brought him to the Rachel Ray show are totally shocked.

When Tabatha’s finished, Joey gets a chance to show off his new hair dew while tasting Rachel Ray’s food. He also gets some direction from Tabatha on how often he should get his hair cut, she says once a month should do the trick.
You have to give Joey some credit for having the guts to do that on national TV, maybe the appearance on Rachel Ray will get him the date he’s been looking for.
