As a middle schooler, he dreamt of building a snow castle.
Years later, he brought that vision to life in the form of a multi-room igloo that is both functional and fun.
What began as a simple pile of snow has become a masterpiece of ingenuity and perseverance.
The process wasn’t without its challenges.
Blake and his friends started by hollowing out a large snow mound.
But early in the project, the top of the igloo collapsed.
“When we first started working on it, all we had was a pile of snow, and then we were working on the inside to pull it all out,” one of Blake’s friends told FOX 8 News.
However, with some clever thinking and sheer determination, they reconstructed the dome and continued building.
The final structure is nothing short of remarkable.
The igloo features multiple rooms, including a cozy sitting area, a hallway, and a secondary space.
Blake proudly calls it his “snow castle.”
The igloo can comfortably fit seven adults and two children, making it a gathering spot for friends and family.
Its size and design have left visitors amazed.
Although the igloo was functional early on, Blake had even bigger plans.
Initially, he shared that the project was unfinished.
He envisioned adding a fireplace and a chimney to make the igloo even more welcoming.
The dedication to improving the structure demonstrates his commitment to creating the perfect winter retreat.
Blake unveiled the completed igloo on Instagram, where it received tons of likes and enthusiastic comments.
The upgraded version includes a fireplace, a TV, and layers of blankets to ensure guests stay warm.
