Some people with long hair use it as a mask. It can be easy to hide behind lengthened locks, rarely revealing your “true” self. For women especially, long hair is a sign of femininity. It can be hard to imagine chopping it all off, but that’s exactly what this woman is about to do.
In another epic Christopher Hopkins video, you see 41-year-old Kerry Grundhoefer undergo a dramatic transformation.
Kerry is a gorgeous woman, but she’s not quite sure what to do with her hair.
Despite the length of her brunette mane, when she takes off her head wrap, she reveals a sea of prominent, grey locks.
Christopher Hopkins, the Makeover Guy, specializes in “mature” makeovers. He doesn’t focus on young ladies and instead helps older females regain the confidence they’ve lost in their later years. When he heard about Kerry’s predicament, he was certain he could help.
In the video’s description, Christopher writes:
“One way to grow out grey hair is gradually— but cutting it all off is another.”
“We went with the drama,” he foreshadows.
When it’s time for Kerry’s interview, the two discuss her willingness to undergo such a dramatic transformation.
“It’s been a long time of processing my hair, and it’s fairly grey under there and I’m just really tired of maintenance,” she reveals. Chris tells her that most women are horrified by the thought of going short, but his client confirms for the camera:
“I asked to have this done, and I’m actually extremely happy.”
With that, the Makeover Guy chops off Kerry’s long hair, and the makeover begins.
When Christopher is done with the makeover, Kerry looks absolutely stunning. She already had a gorgeous face, to begin with, and the style draws much more attention to her natural beauty. With the chopped look, Kerry looks sassier and strong. `
“I love it,” she says beaming at the camera.
“It’s amazing. It’s exactly what I wanted.”
“I think people just can’t comprehend cutting long hair,” she continues. “It’s such a crutch or obsession. [But] I can’t tell you how good it feels.”
Kerry’s husband is also a big fan of the haircut. “It’s awesome, it looks great!” he says admiring her. Shortly after, they kiss and the video ends.
Kerry’s dramatic makeover has been viewed 2 million times.
People are enamored with her transformation, and the comment section is flooded with praise:
