We have all seen many buskers in our lives. Most of the time, when you are walking in the street, you just want to keep chugging along until you reach your destination. When we do see buskers, or people flaunting other cool tricks and talents, sometimes we ignore them and move on.
We never really expect street performers to make our day. If we do see someone who is talented and clearly doing a great job, we might tip them a couple of bucks here and there, but that is where it ends.
That was not so much the case for this little girl though.
Seen in the video is a local singer who is performing the classic hit “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston. In the clip, he is also seen singing to a young girl with special needs.
A big group of people gather around the singer and the little girl, who eventually end up holding hands. It is clearly cold outside, as everyone is wearing winter coats… It does not matter though, because this heart warming performance is worth every second of standing in the cold air.
The man, whose name is unknown, performs the song in its full entirety in the video, which clocks in at four minutes and twenty-six seconds. As he holds the young girl’s hand, she can’t help but wiggle and jump around. At some points it even seems like she is singing along.
“I hope life treats you kind/ And I hope you have all you’ve dreamed of/ And I wish to you joy and happiness/ But above all this, I wish you love,” the man sings, backed by a drummer and a full band. He’s giving his full-fledged attention to the young girl, who appears to be absolutely beside herself in excitement.
At the end, the man hits every note imaginable in the most perfect way. Not only is it absolutely wonderful to watch him sweep the young girl off her feet, but it is also so mind boggling to discover an artist with such a real and raw talent. Even those high notes are reached perfectly, resulting in total chills for anyone watching!
Shortly after the video hit the Internet, it went viral. Not that it is surprising — it’s a crazy great moment — but people could not stop freaking out about the super sweet connection between the two, as well as the singer’s crazy vocal chops. With over a million views, it’s still being watched every day.
“As a pediatric nurse, I can tell you with all honesty that these special children are allowed to see angels and on this day, this young lady also got to hold an angel’s hand,” one person commented.
“As a Dad with a special needs daughter I know that this is something that young lady will always remember and it will always have a special place in her heart just because that young man took the time to make it a special song for her that makes him a hero in my eyes we need more people in this world like him,” another thankful person wrote.
