Five-year-old Charlotte was enjoying a church service with her family when the dancing bug took over. With God in her heart and a spring in her step – she decided to let loose in the church’s main aisle.

There are some people who aren’t afraid to “dance like no one’s watching.” As it turns out, Charlotte is one of those people.

On Easter Sunday, many attend a morning church service as a way to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. It’s usually a joyous event – full of music that can lift the soul.

Charlotte was all gussied up in her pink dress at the Davidson College Presbyterian Church. Apparently, she had been sitting like a little angel the entire time.

However, you know that feeling when you hear a powerful tune – and you just can’t hold back from grooving along? For Charlotte, the last song of the service “The Messiah” was just impossible not to dance to.

The footage captured gives us a perfect bird’s eye view of the church. If you watch the aisle, that’s where you’ll see the tiny girl take center stage.

In the video’s description, it explains,

“Her parents said she sat quietly throughout the entire service but “let it ride” during the last song.”

Everyone’s listening to the choir belt out their closing hymn, but frankly, it’s hard to not keep your eyes on the five-year-old.

Charlotte moves like a ballerina in the center aisle putting on an impromptu performance for all of the churchgoers. She hops around, kicks her legs, and twirls about.

The choir sings,

“Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!”

Kids have amazing spirits and often aren’t afraid of what others think. While this might create some red-faced moments for parents, there are other times that it’s enviable.

Watching Charlotte dance without fear of embarrassment provides a feeling that’s hitting many people in the heart. After all, she’s young, full of life, and not afraid to let the world know that she has Jesus in her soul.

At one point, the talented ballerina spins around over and over again with her arms outstretched. She then disappears near her parents’ pew for several seconds.

But she’s not finished yet! There was still more dancing that had to be done.

Charlotte continued her performance all the way to the end of “The Messiah.” And just like on a real stage, she then bent her legs and gave her audience a small curtsy.

Not every church service has children dancing in the aisles, but that doesn’t mean a lot of people didn’t love watching Charlotte let her free spirit soar. Many were happy that she wasn’t stopped from doing so.

On YouTube, one commenter wrote:

“Total Respect for the church to allow this beautiful child filled with the Holy Spirit to dance for our Lord. The Lord was speaking to many with her dance and music.”

Another person said:

“So beautiful…the lovely choir music and the beautiful dancing little girl…they go perfectly together!!!”

Of course, there are two sides to every coin – but Charlotte being herself and “dancing like no one’s watching” has brought a smile to plenty of faces. More than a thousand viewers have given the video a thumbs-up on YouTube.
