Is anyone up there, and could they intercede to change a life?
The existence of God is the question most everyone has debated at least once in their life.

This is not the question that was asked of a little lady battling Severe Congenital Neutropenia, but it is the question that rises to mind when you see such a beautiful little creature having to deal with such a big problem.
This little ladyโs inspiring story might just provide the answers weโre all hoping for.

In this stirring video, Leah is the three-year-old with an invasive tube glued to her cheek and running into her nose. Not the kind of thing you think about seeing when you think of a charming little lady. Sheโs been sick for quite some time, and her mom asks a series of questions from a kidโs personality test you find on the internet.
Leah answers with gusto, as only a girl of three with such amazing charisma can. That tube doesnโt seem to squelch her energy or her caliber of grace. When life pitched Leah a curveball, she shows us how to step up to the plate and take a crack at it.
These Home Run Quality answers express the deepest reaches of her character, during the toughest inning of her life.

As for that tube in her nose, Leah is battling Severe Congenital Neutropenia and complications from a bone marrow transplant. Not much fun for a three-year-old, but Leah and her family have taken it in stride.
According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine,
โSevere congenital neutropenia is a condition that causes affected individuals to be prone to recurrent infections. People with this condition have a shortage (deficiency) of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell that plays a role in inflammation and in fighting infection.โ
Tough times bring out the true grit of a strong-willed person. Leahโs resilient spirit is a testament to this family, and for some, an example of faith in action.

How does so much character come from a child whoโs only been on the planet for three years?
It is evident that Leah is an old soul, as she answers these โget to know you betterโ type questions. Some of Leahโs answers are quite funny. When asked what sheโs scared of, she whispers, โTigers.โ Which her mom notes, was the previous answer when asked, what is her favorite animal? A tiger is her favorite animal and what sheโs most scared of.
When asked her favorite place to go, her answer prompts her mom to say, sheโs a girl after her own heart. Where..? Target, of course.

Some of the questions get at the difficulties Leah is facing.
When asked, what makes her feel sad, Leah replies,
โBecause I canโt go at your house. And I canโt go at Grandma and Grandpaโs house.โ
Whatโs the kicker question that makes her mom cry?
โWhat does love mean?โ

The little lady thinks for a moment, and then speaks up with such assured enthusiasm.
โGod.โIn the midst of everything she is going through, she lays it out in the simplest of terms.
Leahโs answer releases the welled up emotions that her mother has carried throughout this ordeal.

If you dig a little deeper into this one, youโll be happy to know that Leah is recovering from her illness. Sheโs growing up healthy and full of energy. Leah has gotten through the tough times.
Is it Providence?
Only you can answer that for yourself. It looks like Leah and her mom have settled their debate.
