Itโ€™s a beautiful thing when a child realizes that he or she can really truly be an impetus of change. No matter how young, a child can make a difference in the world.

Thereโ€™s Austin Perine who, despite only being five years old, heads out armed with chicken sandwiches and a drink and feeds the homeless with the help of his dad TJ. He wears a red satin superhero cape as he works tirelessly to assist others.

Ten-year-old Addisyn Goss gathers up toiletries, clothes, snacks and blankets and bundles them into 500 bags each month that she calls Snuggle Sacks that are then delivered to the homeless in Lansing and Flint, Mich. She has created a nonprofit organization that has handed out 3,200 survival kits.

Cooper Patera, five, crafts beautiful snow globes and sells them to his clients. He plans to use the proceeds to help support the homeless.

What originally started out as a craft project between Cooper and his mom Katie Patera became an eye-opening opportunity. He loved the project so much that he came up with the idea to sell the snow globes and use the proceeds to help others with a little direction from his mom of course.

โ€œI said โ€˜well, what are we going to do with all these?โ€™ And then I said โ€˜Maybe, we could sell them and do something nice for somebody.'โ€

The little guy with the huge heart fully understands what heโ€™s doing to assist the needy.

โ€œSo we can raise money and give it to persons that are in need.โ€

His Facebook page, Cooperโ€™s Christmas Snow Globes, describes for his followers how in November alone, Cooper had already raised more than $1,000.

He has his sights set on buying a homeless person a house, explained his mom. But dad Ryan gently informed him that another more realistic option would be for Cooper to donate the funds he raises to an organization that would then help the homeless.

โ€œWhen we talk about homeless people, (Cooper) always says โ€˜Well, itโ€™s not fair that those people donโ€™t have a house or a blanket.โ€

His mom said the outpouring of support heโ€™s received so far has been wonderful.

โ€œMy sweet boy made these adorable snow globes with the hopes of raising money to buy gifts and necessities for people in need during this holiday season. Please help make his wish a reality by purchasing one โ€ฆ your support is so greatly appreciated.โ€

Cooperโ€™s snow globes contain wintery scenes such as frolicking snowpeople, decorated Christmas trees, Santa and more. Each globe is outfitted with glitter or โ€œsnow.โ€ Facebook user Amanda Oโ€™Neill couldnโ€™t believe what Cooper is doing.

โ€œYou are so young and doing such an amazing thing! Such an amazing big heart in such a tiny little guy!โ€

We agree! What Cooper and other young kids are doing to help people should serve as an example for children and adults, too. We wish Cooper luck in selling the rest of his snow globes and helping the homeless.
