There are countless ways to express or invoke emotion without necessarily using words. Whether we are making music, creating art, or even dancing we can make those who view our art pieces, listen to our music, or watch our dances understand what we are trying to express through the senses. Some of these sentiments can be quite emotional while others are light-hearted and make us smile from ear to ear.
An example of one of those events is a video that went viral showing a “one hundred” country western line advanced level dance choreographed by Adriano Castagnoli to the music “You Can Depend On Me” by Restless Heart for competition at the Voghera Country Festival.
To begin the video they make sure to show the specifics and movements of the dance we are about to watch.
As the music begins we can see the dancers paying attention to the one in front with his hand in the air to give the signal when to begin. Of course, many of the dancers are already smiling with excitement.
Then the men to the left and right of the women, as well as, the three women in the middle begin to do their steps perfectly matched to the music.
Then it’s the rest of the dance teams’ time to continue their perfectly synced steps to the music and they do not disappoint. Matching the energy of their dance mates perfectly.
Once the women on the inside complete their step the whole dance team then continue their flow right into stepping into and around one another.
As the dance proceeds the team continues to match one another effortlessly all while adding their own unique flair to their own steps.
As the dance moves forward through each step they continue to twirl to make sure to see each side of the audience. Many of the audience is filming or watching in appreciation of this country-western dance.
As they finish their dance they turn and face the front audience finally taking a quick moment to catch their breath. Then the music comes back and they do their last movements.
Once they complete their amazingly synced line dance they turn to one side of the audience and tip their hats once again in unison.
With smiles up to their ears they gather for a quick group photo.
There are a million ways to dance each with their own unique characteristics sparking different emotions in those who watch or participate. We are happy that this country-western line dance was filmed and shared online so we can all appreciate it worldwide.
