With only days left until Christmas, many parents are storming to toy stores and the mall to get last minute Christmas gifts.

Christmas should be about time spent with our families and giving back to our communities, but sometimes we can all get caught up in getting the perfect gift.

While children cannot wait to rip through their gifts under the Christmas tree on the big day, some children are in the spirit of doing something for someone else.

Little Nadia didn’t want anything for Christmas this year.

Instead of asking for toys, Nadia had something else in mind.

When Nadia’s mom, Diana Vasquez Prado found her daughter’s letter to Santa, she shed quite a few tears!

Nadia told Santa that she wanted nothing, and instead wanted to know what he wanted! Diana shared her daughter’s letter to Santa with the popular Facebook page Love What Matters with this caption:

“My 8-year-old daughter left this note for our Elf, Twinkle, to take to Santa. When I found it, my heart melted, and I cried. Our favorite holiday is Christmas, and I’ve always tried to instill the true spirit of Christmas into each of my daughters. Christmas is about love, happiness and, overall, family. There are times that we doubt ourselves as parents. There are times that we wonder if we’re doing a good enough job raising good people. She has learned that family is everything and love is more important than gifts under a tree. She has learned the spirit of giving. So, relax, Santa! Enjoy your moment to be pampered. This Christmas, we’re giving back!”
