One man’s epic proposal has taken the art of ‘popping the question’ to another level.
Brandon Dinetz, an attorney from Florida, chose to surprise his girlfriend with a pretend trial that was elaborately planned five months in advance.
It went off without a hitch…other than the two actually agreeing to get hitched. The entire proposal was perfectly executed right down to including friends and family as jury members.
His girlfriend Jen Lettman, who is also a lawyer in Florida, was absolutely shocked.
A very special opening statement.
To entice Jen to the courtroom, Brandon told her that he was working on a big DUI case in Palm Beach Florida and he needed her to be present for his opening statement.
As she arrives in the courtroom and sits down, Jen notices some very familiar faces sitting in the jury and quickly realizes that something very special is about to happen.
Brandon was able to secure a judge, a defense attorney, and even a fake defendant for his proposal surprise.
He makes his case to the jury.
Brandon sweetly asks the jury for a life sentence of marriage to the love of his life.
“Love is that indescribable warmth… that overwhelming feeling of warmth. And that ladies and gentlemen…is why you are here today,” he said.
The 17 members of Jen’s friends and family in attendance had absolutely no objections.
The planning pays off.
Jen is completely surprised. Brandon calls her up and she becomes part of the fake proceeding. She is overcome with emotion and can’t contain the happy tears.
She is definitely shocked at what is taking place. The courtroom is on pins and needles waiting for Brandon’s big moment.
He has a very important question.
Brandon gets down on one knee and proposes to his love.
“Jennifer…you are my best friend and love of my life. Will you marry me?”
Case closed.
With a nod yes Jennifer agrees to the sweet proposal and Brandon places the ring on her finger.
The judge happily gives Brandon his life sentence- to spend the rest of his days in the loving arms of his lovely wife.
The verdict? Happily ever after.
The planning and execution have paid off for Brandon as the two become engaged with a cheering courtroom behind them.

Some fans online have suggested the two get married in the same courtroom with the same judge present. With Brandon’s clever planning, nothing is off the table.
