Grocery and food delivery has spiked in recent years and for many, it’s become a standard way of life! If you’ve ever ordered food delivery, you know that things can be a bit… variable in terms of service and experience. Still, there are occasional moments when you are truly thankful for the convenience they offer.
For one couple, a food delivery order was about to bring them the shock of their lives.
Tracey Ramirez and her boyfriend, Jonas Honea, may have had the best delivery man to have ever walked the earth.
The couple had some questionable experiences in the past with food delivery but decided to give it another go. Thankfully for them, they got the best delivery man on the planet. His service was so amazing it sparked a viral TikTok video and a search to learn who he was.
It all started when the couple noticed what the Uber Eats delivery man had done through their outdoor video camera.
As is normal, the man walked up to their door and prepared to put the food on a small nearby table. It was then that things got special. Taking a bit of tissue paper out, he presented the food on it, then added a gift bag with a water bottle, candies, and masks. Inside that gift bag was also a handwritten note and a poem titled Footprints in the Sand.
“I was emotional when I saw it,” Ramirez said. “Shocked first and then emotional.” – WFAA
Ramirez saved the video and decided to post it on TikTok, hoping to find the man.

Soon, it went viral. Within a short period of time, the couple was able to figure out who the man was and a little about his story. The man’s name is Donald Jackson, Sr., and he had been leaving gift bags for people after his deliveries for some time now. His reasoning, however, might just bring a tear to your eye.
Donald Jackson had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure two years ago.
With the reality that our time on this earth is limited, Jackson decided to do something wonderful. After praying and asking how he could better help people, he started leaving behind gift baskets with every delivery. Over the months he ended up completing almost 9,000 deliveries with a gift left for each one. To this day his delivery rating is a perfect 100%.
When Ramirez and her boyfriend learned about his story, they invited him over to dinner.
Little did Jackson know that Ramirez had started a GoFundMe page for him, using the video that was seen 3 million times as a way to get the message out. Soon, they had raised over $6,000 for the man and he had no idea. At the dinner, they presented the money to a completely stunned Mr. Jackson. His goal was to spread a positive message and it was time that someone gave him a little positive gift of his own.
“I just wanted to put a little hope in these people’s heart, a little joy in their soul and a little peace in their minds, just for a good minute,” Jackson said. “That’s all I wanted to do.” – WFAA
