Is there anything more adorable than seeing little kids perform a dance during a school assembly? The best is when it comes to Christmas pageants. Those performances are the ones you record and watch at home for years to come.

When the kids at St. Elizabeth Childcare in Jersey City filed onto the stage, their parents didnโ€™t know what to expect.

Maybe they would be singing a rendition of Silent Night or putting on a Nativity play.

As it turned out, they had something slightly different in mind.

They were all wearing green from head to toe.

All the children on the stage were about four years old. Some of them looked nervous, some excited, and some waved to their parents in the crowd. It was all looking like a regular preschool holiday pageant.

Then the music dropped and all the kids jumped into action. They were shaking their hips and giggling. Their parents started to laugh as the song Rocking Around the Christmas Tree began to play.

Like every childrenโ€™s performance, each kid had a different approach.

Some of them jumped in with enthusiasm. Others seemed a little more reserved.

Once the performance was uploaded to YouTube, people had a lot to say about the adorable youngsters.

โ€œGirl in the front row far left,โ€ said one commenter. โ€œShe was into it how she was flinging herself as she dancedโ€ฆto cute. [sic]โ€

Itโ€™s always hilarious to see which kids really get into the performance.

They may have a future on the stage.

โ€œI like the middle girl in the front,โ€ said one commenter. โ€œitโ€™s so cute and she know how to do it and sheโ€™s singing too [sic].โ€

The kids had a whole dance routine that involved hand gestures and holding hands while swaying. It might not have been Broadway, but it was pretty darn cute. And it was obvious the kidsโ€™ families loved watching them perform on onstage.

Some of the students, however, werenโ€™t so sure how they felt about being in front of a crowd.

โ€œThe kid in the upper left is hilarious,โ€ said one commenter. โ€œheโ€™s like โ€˜what the hell is going on, Iโ€™m not participating in this. Itโ€™s a set up our parents will tease us about it years to come ha ha Ha ha ha โ€ฆ[sic]โ€

Ultimately, itโ€™s just another preschool Christmas performance.

But seeing their kids on stage mustโ€™ve made it really special for the parents in the audience.

โ€œHuman beings at this age are so darn cute and lovable,โ€ said one commenter. โ€œto bad we canโ€™t stay this sweet and innocent. They make my old heart sing with joy and happiness they are the best of us. [sic]

โ€œI really love kids enjoy while watching themโ€ฆthinking they really love what they are doing,โ€ said another commenter.
