If you’re a parent or have nieces or nephews around the age of five, you know that life is a roller coaster. When kids reach kindergarten, there’s no telling what they’ll say or do. While this can create some embarrassing moments for moms and dads, it also leads to some pretty sweet and funny situations.

Learning about music

By kindergarten, a lot of kids are exposed to music. Whether from singing songs in the classroom or giving cute performances, these young kids are so adorable to watch. In one school event, the teacher decided to have her kindergarten students sing Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.”

That’s a tall order

As you probably know, Journey is a hugely successful band that for years, toured all over the world. They also wrote and performed songs that are still popular today. While the music to “Don’t Stop Believing” is relatively slow, that’s a tall order for a bunch of little kids.

Up for the challenge

Not only were these kindergarten students willing to do this song but they went a step further by performing a remix. At the start of a video that was uploaded on social media, they start normally. Each child stands erect while proudly belting out the lyrics.

Getting a little help

Seated in the front row is the students’ teacher. As expected, she encourages them to smile and guides them through the first portion of the song. At this point, it just seems like a group of cute kids singing their hearts out.

Hitting the notes

These kids might be young but they’re taking this performance seriously. As the music rises and falls, they keep up without any problem. For the parents and other family members, this had to be a special event.

Can’t stop moving

The further into the song they get the more you see little bodies bobbing up and down. It’s so fun to watch. One little boy in the front row is really struggling to hold back … he just wants to dance.

Staying focused

You have to give these young kids a lot of credit. Not only did they take on one of the most popular songs ever recorded but they didn’t miss a beat. We’re pretty sure about one thing. Journey would think was great.

No mishaps

Any time you put that many kindergartens on one stage, you just know that something is going to happen. But in this case, it didn’t. The only time on student fell out of line was when she needed to scratch an itch on her leg.

The finale

Throughout the performance, these students kept their composure. At the end, they reached their arms out toward the audience while singing “believe” as loud as they could. For being so young, they did an amazing job.

And of course, you have to give kudos to their music teacher, as well. Somehow, she knew this particular song wasn’t too difficult or big for her class. And true to form, they proved her right.
