Lissandro Formica, a young boy with a deep love for Elvis Presley, has earned the affectionate nickname “Elvissandro” thanks to his impressive impersonations of the King of Rock and Roll.
Introduced to Presley’s music by his father at the age of five, Lissandro has been hooked ever since.
And when he took the stage on The Voice Kids France, he was ready to bring some of that Elvis magic to life for the audience and judges.
For his performance, Lissandro had a vast selection of Elvis hits to choose from, such as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” and “Love Me Tender.”
But the young performer opted for a lesser-known hit, “Too Much,” which was released in 1957.
Although “Too Much” didn’t achieve the same level of fame as some of Presley’s other songs, peaking at #2 on Billboard’s Top 100, it remains a fan favorite for its catchy tune and upbeat energy.
The choice of “Too Much” seemed fitting for Lissandro, who confidently took the stage, ready to channel his inner Elvis.
His performance quickly captivated the judges, audience, and even those watching backstage.
Despite his small stature, Lissandro had the presence and charisma of a seasoned performer, something Elvis himself would have been proud of.
As the song’s upbeat rhythm kicked in, the entire room started to move along with him.
As Lissandro sang, the energy of the performance seemed to grow, and it wasn’t long before the judges were fully engaged.
All four of them spun around in their seats, showing their admiration for the young performer’s talent.
The stage was soon transformed into a mini dance party, with everyone—from the judges to the audience—joining in the fun.
It was clear that Lissandro had managed to do what few performers can: get everyone on their feet and smiling.
“Too Much,” while not reaching the top of the Billboard Pop chart, was a huge success in other areas.
The song reached #1 on Billboard’s “Top Sellers” chart and spent three weeks at the top of Cashbox magazine’s “Best Selling Singles” chart.
It also performed well on Billboard’s “Hot Country Singles” and “Hot Rhythm and Blues Singles” charts, further cementing its place as a hit despite its initial reception.
As the young Elvis impersonator continued to perform, his energy never diminished.
Lissandro’s ability to sustain the fast-paced melody without missing a beat was impressive, and his stage presence left little doubt that he had the potential to be a star in his own right.
It was remarkable to see such a young talent handle a classic Elvis tune with such confidence and ease.
Lissandro’s family and friends were cheering him on from backstage, thrilled to see him shine.
The judges were equally amazed, with some even joining in the dancing as Lissandro’s infectious enthusiasm spread throughout the room.
His performance wasn’t just impressive—it was fun and captivating, a true reflection of what Elvis himself might have brought to the stage.
At such a young age, Lissandro has already shown he has what it takes to entertain an audience.
With his talent and love for music, it wouldn’t be surprising if this young performer pursued a career in the industry.
His ability to channel the spirit of Elvis, while adding his own unique charm, is something special.
