Mike Senior, a 56-year-old man, shocked everyone when he greeted his 22-year-old son, Mike Jr., with a nasty comment when he entered the courtroom.

Mike Jr. was suing his father for ยฃ4,160 in unpaid child support, covering 16 years of his life.

The elder Mikeโ€™s hostile attitude was evident as he sneered at his own son.

This wasnโ€™t just any court hearing, though.

Judge Robert Rinder was presiding, and anyone familiar with him knows that he is quite different from the usual judges seen in courtrooms.

Known for his sharp wit and occasional petulance, Rinder makes for compelling television.

He doesnโ€™t hesitate to exchange words with anyone in court and ensures his presence is always felt.

Mike Senior isnโ€™t one to back down either.

Unfortunately for him, his first words in the room were heard and reported to Rinder.

โ€œWhat are you doing here, you [expletive]?โ€ was his first address to his son.

When Rinder took his seat, he asked Mike Jr. to repeat what his father had said.

Upon hearing it, Rinder asked the elder Mike if he thought that was a reasonable thing to say.

With venom in his voice, Mike Senior responded, โ€œDo I think thatโ€™s reasonable? Yeah, I do.โ€

Rinder, scoffing, knew this was going to be an interesting case.

โ€œWeโ€™ll go on a little journey of discovery, you and me,โ€ he remarked, already irked by Mike Seniorโ€™s attitude.

The reason for the hearing was that Mike Jr. believed his father owed him for not being present during his upbringing.

Mike Jr. did the math, which Rinder confirmed, calculating that his father owed him about ยฃ5 a week from his childhood until he was 16, totaling ยฃ4,160.

Mike Senior, however, couldnโ€™t care less about the numbers.

He believed he didnโ€™t owe his son anything.

He recounted how he raised Mike Jr. until he was four or five and then continued to see him weekly after he entered foster care at age seven.

During the hearing, Mike Senior casually mentioned that he has about 40 children with different women.

Rinder asked him who was responsible for raising all these kids, to which the elder Mike replied that it was both his and the mothersโ€™ responsibility.

He then shared a story from his past.

โ€œWhen I was a drunk, it was alright for Mike to come up to me and say โ€˜Dad, have you gotโ€ฆ?โ€™ and because I was drunk, I would give him whatever was in my pocket,โ€ he said.

He also mentioned that he had been married three times, prompting Rinder to ask, โ€œAnd when you asked these women to marry you at the relevant times, were they all conscious?โ€

Rinderโ€™s biting remark did not deter Mike Senior, who remained brazen and cocky throughout the hearing.

Their exchange grew so intense that Rinder handed his little hammer to his assistant, tempted by the elder Mikeโ€™s provocations.

This kind of courtroom drama is certainly something viewers will enjoy.
