Children’s television and movies are filled with magical animals that can talk just like humans do. So, how do you think kids would respond to seeing an animal talk in real life?
Jimmy Kimmel host of Jimmy Kimmel Live decided that he had to find out.
With some help from Hollywood makeup artists, Jimmy was transformed into a realistic looking pig. Some kids were brought in off of the street to meet Jimmy the pig and have their reactions caught on video.
First of all, the transformation process was unbelievable. Jimmy was painted and given realistic looking facial fur, ears, as well as a prosthetic snout. He was then put inside of a box and had a very large imitation pig’s body laid around him to give him a realistic look.
He actually makes for a kind of scary looking pig. The two little girls who were brought in to meet Jimmy the Pig must have thought so too because when asked if they wanted to pet him, the girls refused.
They seemed to sense that something was off and this was no ordinary pig.
The girls are left alone in the room with the pig and they lean in to take a closer look. One of the girls bravely goes in to pet him, then his eyes fly open and she pulls back. That’s when Jimmy the pig pops the big question.
“Hi, have you ever met a talking pig before?” he asks the girls
“No,” they say in unison and pretty casually considering the fact that they are in the presence of a creepy looking talking pig.
He then asks the girls if they can keep a secret and they say that they can.
“That cowboy, big jerk who brought you in here, we do not let him know that I can talk! K, cuz if he finds out he’s gonna want to keep me forever and then I’m not going to be able to come live at your houses,” he tells the girls.
The cowboy returns with some bacon for the girls and the pig looks up at them and shakes his head in fear. The little girls nervously look at the pig holding the bacon in their hands.
Before the cowboy walks out, Jimmy the Pig yells, “You’re ugly!”
One of the little girls is not about to take the fall for this strange pig and says “the pig said that!” Jimmy the Pig goes back to trying to get the girls to lie, but one of the little girls finally puts her foot down.
“I don’t listen to talking pigs!” she tells him outright.
Eventually, the pig makes them feel bad for him and asks again for their help.
The girls end up covering for the pig and telling the cowboy they made up the fact that he can talk. Then the cowboy bribes them with $20 to tell the truth. Watch the video below to see if these little girls were swayed by money or the talking pig.
