Not every couple reaches their 50-year wedding anniversary, so for those who do โ itโs certainly something to celebrate.
Jill and her husband from Florida too were closing in on the major milestone. But instead of simply planning a party or an evening to reminisce about the past, Jill wanted to spice things up for her hubby with a brand new look!
One of the perks of being happily married for a long time is the feeling of stability. Knowing that the person loves you no matter what can be a comforting thing, which is why it can be easy to fall into routines.
Sometimes though, change is a good thing.
Jill recognized that she hadnโt changed much over the years within the looks department. However, she was finally tired of having โno style.โ
Most of all, Jill wanted to have a makeover for her husbandโs sake. He had grown used to seeing her a certain way for decades โ but for the next ones, Jill thought he should be looking at something โdifferent!โ
Christopher Hopkins was ready to bring the Florida residentโs inner beauty outwards.
Jill traveled all the way to Minneapolis, Minnesota to visit The Makeover Guyโs Appearance Studios. Although her husband was aware that sheโd be getting her hair done, he had no clue โwhoโ exactly was behind the scissors.
Christopherโs well-known for providing beauty transformations that make your jaw drop. For years heโs been helping both famous celebrities and everyday people gain confidence through his work.
His YouTube makeover videos are touching, inspirational, and make you want to stand and cheer. Thatโs because Christopherโs talent shines through in every reveal thatโs shown โ and itโs apparent when he changes a clientโs life.
Jill had one simple request for her big transformation. She told the camera,
โMy hope was that I donโt look like this when Iโm done. My fear is that Iโll look like this when Iโm done.โ
Well, Jill certainly didnโt have to worry about that. Her stunning new appearance was surely going to make her husbandโs eyes pop!
The Makeover Guy worked his magic on Jill leaving her looking younger, fresher, and absolutely fabulous. She even felt like she resembled herself back in high school, only with a cuter style!
Jill explained how she thought her husband would react, saying:
โI think heโs just gonna be like, โOh, thatโs the girl I married 50 years ago.โ I donโt have to look retired anymore.โ
The new and โimprovedโ Jill was so ecstatic about her transformation that she and Christopher decided to celebrate with a little tap dance. Yes, heโs a man of MANY talents โ including being an author, singer, and apparently โ a fantastic dancer!
He wrote on his YouTube channel:
โJill was celebrating her 50th anniversary, and wanted to look sassy and young. She taught me a few tap steps and we had a blast.โ
