For many people, the Christmas season begins the day after Halloween and the Christmas tunes are blasting through their speakers just as quickly.
After all, Christmas would not be Christmas without our festive favorite songs from our favorite singers and bands, both old and new.
It’s always fun to hear a new take on an old song and Jared Halley has us hooked this year.
The Music Maker
Jared Halley is a popular musician and a producer. He also makes videos for YouTube and has created an a Capella mashup of five of our favorite Christmas songs.
He had his video set up in his family living room with a piano and a gorgeous Christmas tree to set the mood. Watching the video, you can feel the warmth in that room and it definitely feels like Christmas is finally here.
The Crew
In this video, you will see not only one Jared Haley, but instead, you’ll see 5. They’re all dressed up in adorable Christmas themed sweaters and each Jared has his own role in creating the wonderful classic tune mashup.
One Jared sings while the rest play different parts of the beat. One also chills atop the piano. One Jared stands while the rest stand up, and later in the video, two more pop in for a surprise.
Jared does a beautiful mashup of the ever-popular “So This is Christmas,” “Last Christmas,” “Santa Clause is Comin’ to Town,” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” At the end of the video, we get a re-cap of Jared singing all of the songs over again.
His voice is spot on in all of the songs and it is quite impressive that he was able to blend it all together as well as he has done.
The Talent of Me, Myself, and I
We are more impressed, however, by how he managed to make all the sounds and do his own backup singing. It takes quite a bit of talent to pull something like this off, but Jared did it flawlessly and made it look completely effortless.
“Last Christmas” was easily one of the best covers Christmas music fans have ever heard. Jared made it so full of emotion and straight from the heart. In fact, just listening to it could give you chills because it’s just that perfect.
Then, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, two more Jareds pop out from behind the tree for a little pop of excitement.
His Other Performances
Of course, Jared did a wonderful job covering some of his favorite Christmas songs, but he has also covered many other popular songs. Some of his favorite artists to cover include Queen, Linkin Park, Shawn Mendes, Michael Jackson and The Beach Boys.
Some of his most popular covers on YouTube include Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes” and Rita Ora’s “Anywhere.” These are definitely worth checking out, as he has a great deal of talent and can make old songs into new favorites right in time for the new year.
