I need a change.
For Janice, the day for it finally arrived.
Janice drove in from southern Indiana to find just that. I think every woman feels that from time to time. Suddenly, the hairstyle can feel outdated, the color fades, or it’s time for a brand new look altogether.
Sometimes a new job, move, or just feeling like age is catching up – whatever the case, wanting to look fun, sexy, and fresh again is usually the real motive for women wanting makeovers.
In Janice’s case, she confessed she watched every Makeover Guy video she could find and she was just feeling like her hair was frizzy and unruly.
It was finally time to make the step and try something new and she made the call and booked the appointment.
Watching all those videos made her realize she needed some help and with her fun and bubbly personality, why not have the outer appearance to match?
But to get there, she told a little white lie.
She admits this isn’t something she would normally do and was way out of her comfort zone. She even admits to telling a “little white lie.” She told her friend,
We’re going on a biking trip.
We have no doubt her friend will be very willing to forgive her seeing what the real motive was to treat Janice to a day of fun and learning.
And they found the perfect man for the job.
Christopher Hawkins is known as The Makeover Guy and he has created his magic on thousands of clients. H has appeared on national television including HGTV, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and The Today Show. He has also worked with many celebrities including even Hillary Clinton.
There is no doubt Janice is in very safe hands and she knows it herself watching his videos over and over again.
And with that she said,
I’m going to shut my eyes and let them work their magic.
She was more than ready for her journey to begin.
She starts with a soothing face mask to help relax her while Christopher serenades her in the background with piano music. Many might not know, but Christopher has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra as a baritone vocal soloist and even has his own vocal album “I’ll Be Seeing You.” Clearly, Christopher Hopkins is a man of many talents.
Time to say goodbye to her thick, curly hair.
He starts with chopping off a chunk of Janice’s hair and already she feels lighter. He felt her hair was too long for her face shape and of course wants to change her overall look. Next Janice gets to meet with Christopher’s mother who gave her tips on how to dress for her body shape accentuating all the right features.
I think it would help me to feel more empowered, more energy and get a fresh start.
Even though Janice knew she wanted her looks to change, she didn’t have anything specific in mind, but once she got to see herself with her brand new appearance she knew she had put herself into the right hands. The moment she saw herself, she said,
I think you captured me perfectly. I got my sassy back. I love it, love it.
We couldn’t agree more. Now the outside matches her fun bubbly spirit. Janice says what all women hope for with a new cut,
I’m feeling rejuvenated.
She warned that her workmates better watch out – the new Janice is going to make a splash and add all the more fun to their workplace. She was hoping for a new hairstyle that was bubbly, light, and easy to fix. She certainly got her wishes to come true. She looks fabulous!
