You’re all grown up, you own your own house, you’ve got a solid job — life should be smooth sailing from here, right? Well, you’d think so until the simplest household problem shows up and you have zero idea how to fix it.
Real life problems and dilemmas are something you learn how to deal with on your own. These types of scenarios and issues aren’t taught in school. How amazing would it be if they were though?
One person decided to turn to the great wide world of the internet to look for help in solving their problem: their dreaded kitchen cupboard. No matter what was done — they couldn’t seem to stop a complete avalanche of dishes from crashing every time the door would be opening.
Facebook user Seng Shao-Tsen posted a picture of the annoying problem for the internet to inspect and judge.
Looks super frustrating, right? Well, it wasn’t long before the mass audience of the internet decided to chime in with some advice on how to fix this cupboard conundrum. Some are reasonable solutions, others? Not so much. Check out these ‘interesting’ responses below!
- ‘Open the door just a tiny bit and fill the whole thing with expanding foam’ Hmm…that sounds fun but not very practical!
- Sell it to the museum and name it the “Frozen in Time” series’ I like this — just leave it there and pocket some cash.
- ‘Try switching it off then switching it back on again’ I know this works for TVs and computers — but cupboards? I’m not so sure about that.
- ‘Tilt the cupboard backward, then open’ You know, not a bad idea but it’s STUCK TO THE WALL.
- ‘Flood the house, then open the cupboard without any risk!’ Who cares about the rest of your belongings, right? That bowl must be in your possession NOW.
- ‘Build an identical house next to your existing house with only one difference, the plates would be on the shelf. Then delete the old house’ Sounds easy enough.
- ‘It is a matter of economics, if the plates are cheap open the door. If the plates are irreplaceable smash the glass on the right’ This is so logical it’s almost scary.
- ‘Photoshop the image as to how it was before this happened and print out the image and stick it in the glass.’ I mean — sure it might look good but it really doesn’t solve the problem now, does it?
- ‘Spin the house round and round and round until the centrifugal force pushes the plates back onto the shelf. Be careful to stop the spin slowly.’ Scientifically, I think this could actually work. There’s just one problem — most people’s houses are built on top of a giant lazy susan.
- ‘Break the wall from the back of the cupboard.’ Then — the eyesore would just be on the outside of your house now! Wait — what if they live in an apartment building and they have neighbors on the other side of the wall?
Lastly – we have one of the most creative suggestions yet:
- ‘Spend a few months in the secret mountain tops of Japan and train. You must become a ninja with lightning reflexes. With your newly found ninja skills catching those plates when you open the cupboard will be easy.’ I really do think this is the only solution that will work out with a happy ending for all. Plus — who doesn’t want to be a ninja?
Apparently, Seng Shao-Tsen was able to get their cupboard open after all. However, the mystery remains which suggestion they decided to use to pull it off!
