IKEA. This famous Swedish home furnishings brand has taken the world by storm. Offering thousands of stylish products ranging from furniture to kitchen gadgets and bedding to home decor at affordable prices, IKEA has certainly created an empire.

If you’ve ever visited IKEA, you know that there are model rooms set up all over the floor, providing inspiration to shoppers.

IKEA designs gorgeous bedrooms, living rooms, and bathrooms using all of its products, showing shoppers how they could possibly use the items in their own homes. It’s a great way to draw inspiration while you’re walking around the enormous store’s floorplan.

Recently, the IKEA in the United Arab Emirates decided to play off of their model rooms for their newest ad campaign – but they were going to set the rooms up with a twist. A very familiar and clever twist.

Rummaging through the brand’s giant catalog, IKEA recreated some of TV’s most iconic living rooms using their own furniture and products.

“IKEA Real Life” is the name of the campaign and it took two months to put together the final product. Using enhancements from 3D digital software, IKEA recreated room from The Simpsons, Stranger Things, and Friends. All popular shows with very memorable and familiar living rooms. Such a genius idea!

One of the most iconic living rooms in all of TV is from the long-running cartoon The Simpsons.

At the beginning of every single song, the familiar theme song plays as the family all end up on the couch together – usually with some kind of funny twist. After being on the air for over 29 seasons (over 630 episodes!), The Simpsons is officially the longest-running primetime scripted series on TV. After all that time, we’ve grown to know the living room very well.

Of course, the 3D digital software added in the flooring and wall color, but other than that? It’s all IKEA products! Pretty awesome, right?

“The Ikea team worked closely with the creatives for months. They went through hundreds of items to find the perfect pieces that would bring those iconic rooms,” Vinod Jayan, managing director for IKEA in the UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman, told Adweek.

“It was a great collaborative effort that led up to a stunning result. A true testament of what IKEA represents: a place where everyone can bring whatever idea they see or have to life.”

Another living room that we all know and love is the living room from Friends.

A living room that we grew to love…or be scared of…was the living room in the Netflix hit series Stranger Things.

Of course, IKEA used the 3D digital software to add in all the architectural details, but all of the decor and furniture pieces are extremely similar. If you’re a mega-fan of the show, this is like a dream come true!
