A flash mob is basically a public performance of either a group of singers or dancers. Itโs often performed at public places where a lot of people go. The idea behind it is not only to surprise the unsuspecting crowd but more of entertaining them and spreading โgood vibesโ.
Thatโs what exactly happened in this IKEA in Madrid.
Theyโve prepared an ABBA-themed flash mob and they donโt disappoint.
It all begins with some strange beeping sounds in the store.
Cameras are rolling, all performers are in disguise and are on standby.
Of course, a lot of practice is needed to pull off a flash mob, thereโs no room for mistakes. The performers need to be in character, or else the whole act will be busted.
The staff is cleaning the floors, random people are passing byโฆbut for some reason, something does look a bit suspicious. Everyoneโs perfectly placed as if they were waiting for something. Then the beeping sound goes on and everyone starts turning around, trying to figure out where itโs coming from.
The music starts and so do the performers. The confusion on the shoppersโ faces then turns into smiles as they see whatโs unfolding right before their eyes. One by one, the performers start to bounce to the music as planned.
โMamma Miaโ starts playing, and the flash mob begins!
All the workers mentioned earlier are dancing now. A cleaning lady, a policeman, a cashierโall of them deliver flawless choreography. The cleaning lady even uses her broom while dancing, and itโs hilarious.
Pretty soon, the crowd realizes that itโs indeed a dance flash mob.
From performances like this, we get a perfect portrayal of the power music actually has on people. Nobody in the store expected it, and everyone in the crowd is so delighted!
The beat of the music and the dancers are so inviting that some of the shoppers decide to join in!
It seems like the children were enjoying it the most because there were so many kids dancing in the videoโand itโs incredibly adorable. Theyโre just another way to spontaneously make a dance routine even better! The show these people put on will be remembered for a long time.
