As a cop, you never know what kind of circumstances you’re going to run into. There are a lot of adventures and calls that keep the job interesting. This officer had one of those interesting situations to attend to one afternoon outside of a small town.

The officer has his body cam turned on as he approaches a scene in the middle of the road. There’s no other cars around, but there are figures in the street we ca’t quite see yet. As he gets closer and turns on the sound to his camera, it turns out the problem is turkeys.

Three of them to be exact, just mingling in the middle of the street. Some might say that this isn’t really a situation deserving of an officer’s time, but if there were any oncoming traffic that were to hit one of them, then you might be calling the police or 911 to handle the situation. This officer was just taking care of business before anything really dangerous could occur.

That was his intention anyway. As he gets closer to the birds, they don’t do much of anything. Turkey’s are usually a skittish bird and are scared of people, but these two males got defensive. They were loud and obnoxious as the officer made his way closer to them. He yells, throws his arms and tells them to shoo. Nothing happens.

Then, the officer takes out his wand. Not like in Harry Potter, even it looks a little bit like he’s using it to cast a spell on the birds, this wand is for intimidation and scaring the birds. No matter how many times the officer points, swings, or taps the stick on the ground, the birds continue to make their way towards him.

Despite his shouting, waving his baton at them, and slapping it on the street making as much noise as he can, the aggressive turkey’s refuse to get out of the road.

After a going a few rounds with the turkeys the cop decides to give up. “You guys are angry!” he says in defeat as he gets back into his car. The turkeys will get to roam as they please a little while longer.
