Husky Mad At Mom Until She Starts Singing
This cracks me up so much.

You remember the last time you were so angry you couldn’t even look at the person who you were upset with? And it became even more annoying when they tried to get you to look at them, even though you didn’t want to? They try to make you laugh and bridge the gap between you two, but you weren’t having it. That’s what’s happening in this adorable video of a Siberian Husky and her owner.

The Siberian is angry with Mom, but Mom knows exactly what will bring her doggy back in her good graces.

Maya was not pleased.

Maya is the Siberian Husky that is so mad she has stopped looking at her owner. The incident sprang up after Mom sprayed Maya with flea spray, which is an offensive gesture that I think we can all identify with as being terribly upsetting.

Mom knows just what to do to mend the fence that’s grown in their normally loving relationship.

The age-old tool that has united many opposing factions across the millennia? Music. It is said that music soothes the savage beast, and this video is a prime demonstration of the power of music. Mom begins the song and it’s only a matter of time before Maya won’t be able to hold that grudge any longer.

Music is pleasing to the ear, especially if it’s your favorite song.

Maya hears her beloved diddy and just can’t resist. Her fuzzy ears pique up, she tries her darndest to not turn her head. She can’t help but sing along. Slow at first, but then the music takes her. Maya’s mom has deployed that secret weapon to make her forget why she was so angry.

The song that softened her anger.

Maya’s favorite song is from the phenomenal musical Annie. Tomorrow was published in 1977 with music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin, and sung by Annie, a curly redheaded orphan who wins the heart of a billionaire business tycoon. The Broadway musical ran for six years, and spawned performances around the globe while touring extensively. Annie garnered seven Tony Awards including Best Musical. The musical and the song are solidified in our pop culture milieu.

Maya’s not a redhead but she sure loves the way she can howl along with the tune.

Maya is a Siberian Husky, and as one youtuber points out …

“Husky is the most dramatic dog in the world.”

According to the American Kennel Club, the Siberian is a very energetic dog that needs a lot of exercise. Siberian’s are a relative of the larger Alaskan Malamute that is famous for pulling sleds in the Alaskan Iditarod.

“Breeders and fanciers prefer the moniker Siberians over huskies, as the latter suggests a bigger, brawnier dog than what is the standard for the breed.”

AKC notes, Huskies work best when “they have a function to perform.”

It looks like Maya wants to have the job performing on the Broadway stage.

“Huskies are toddlers in a dogs body lol I love them.”

“She’s fighting dirty. No one can stay mad when their favorite beat drops.”

Check out the video below, and think about the next time you’re that angry. Maybe you need your favorite song to bring that temper down. I guess if we all had someone to sing it to us, the world would be a happier place.
