Sometimes, when life gets a little boring it can be fun to make a joke and tease your spouse. After all, what is life without a little laughter? That is that this husband thought when he decided to prank his wife by photoshopping a photo, exaggerating the size of the Christmas tree that he picked out for their home. To our amusement, user eeplesandbaneenees85 on Imgur posted screenshots of the hilarious conversation that he had with his wife.
A husband decided to pull a prank on his wife by Photoshopping their Christmas tree.
A wife sent her husband on an errand to pick out a Christmas tree for their home. But he saw an opportunity to tease her a little. He put his Photoshop skills to good use and used it to increase the appearance of the tree. The wife was somewhat amused, but the more questions she asked, the bigger the lie became.
Wife: How’d the tree search turn out?
Husband: Great! Check it out!
The husband then texted a picture of the “tree” on top of their minivan. The tree looks ginormous, taking up almost the whole roof. The wife is shocked when she sees how big the tree looks.
Wife: OMG!!! How big is that thing?!?! And how are you getting it in the house?!
Husband: Not that big. I mean it wasn’t the biggest one they had.
The prank continues to grow as their conversation goes further.
The husband goes on to explain that he “thinks” the tree is 13-14 feet tall. The wife reminds him that their ceilings are not even that tall and it will not fit in their house. He then sends her another picture of their new “tree” in the living room. It looks humongous in their living room and is bulging from all directions.
Wife: Never again going alone. Never.
The husband continues the story exaggerating that they will probably need to get a bigger stand that will be strong enough to hold the tree and that they will probably need “15-20 more stands” of Christmas lights to fully light up the giant tree. He also says that his father is still there who could help him cut it down to size, if needed.
The wife finally starts to lose her cool before she finds out it is a joke.
The conversation then turns to the cost of the tree and when the husband replies that it cost “$190 dollars” because he paid cash, she starts to lose her sense of humor for the situation.
Wife: I’m legitimately trying not to lose my ****. That’s way too big for our house.
The husband finally caves, and confesses that it was all just a joke, “Bubs, I’m 100 percent messing with you. Both those photos are Photoshopped.” This husband found a funny and harmless way to bring some humor into their life. Even if the wife did not think it was funny at first, I am sure she will see the humor in it someday.
