Looks aren’t everything, but they do shape the impressions we make on people. Changing your signature look can be a daunting task. You may be nervous about how the people around you will react, especially those closest to you. When this woman completely switched up her look, she was worried about how her husband would respond. What he did took her breath away.
Twitter user Praizekirkwood’s mom had been growing her hair out for two decades. Her luscious dreads reached all the way down to her waist, but she decided it was time for a change. She wanted to get a new style, but when she went into the salon she didn’t get just any cut. She removed every last bit of her hair. The mom loved the new do, but she had to wonder what her husband would think.
She turned the occasion into a big reveal, with her daughter recording every moment. As she hid around the corner in the hallway, she hesitated to show off her new look. Her husband stood in the living room and promised that his back was turned, and she found herself giggling uncontrollably.
“I’m getting nervous – wait a minute!” she exclaimed before taking a deep breath. They agreed that he would remain facing the wall until she was standing in the living room. Then, when he turned around, she would be right before his eyes.
She took a small step, confirming with her daughter that her husbands back was, indeed, turned to her. Then she timidly took her place in the center of the room. She gave the signal, and it was time for the moment of truth.
Praizekirkwood and her mom were both caught in a fit of giggles as her dad prepared to face his wife. At his daughter’s instruction, he spun around and saw his lady’s new style. His reaction could not have been more perfect.
“Oh wow!” He immediately exclaimed, stepping closer to get a better look. “You are so hot!”
The twitter user’s mom was thrilled! She might have just changed her hair, but the huge smile that swept across her face was definitely her most distinguishable feature. As her husband continued to hit on her, she knew that he appreciated the new look as much as she did.
“You look like a Hollywood star,” he declared. He was completely enamored with his wife. It was like they were meeting for the first time all over again.
Sometimes sparks fade over the years, but that certainly isn’t the case for this couple. This man will be drooling over his wife for many years to come.
