When Stephanie Valas learned she was having triplets at her ultrasound appointment, she headed straight over to tell her husband at work. His reaction to the life-changing news? That’s what really takes the cake!
Fortunately for us, Stephanie had secretly hit record on her cell phone so she could capture their conversation. It’s a heartwarming video that’s gone viral and been watched more than five million times.
For many women, finding out you’re pregnant is the most exciting news in the world. However, can you imagine discovering you’re about to have three babies? Although it would be triple the excitement – it would also be A LOT to take in.
Stephanie and her husband already had two children at home. So instead of growing to a family of five, they were about to explode into a family of seven.
With the ultrasound photos and her cell phone hidden in her jacket pocket, Stephanie was ready to reveal the giant news. Yet, what fun would it be to just blurt it out? She decided to see if he could figure it out himself.
Stephanie shows her husband the photos of their new bundles of joy. He seems happy, but doesn’t exactly realize that he’s looking at three separate babies. Suddenly, he senses that something’s not right and asks, “Is everything okay?”
The mom-to-be points out, “Do you see anything different?” Her husband takes a closer look and starts reading off the info on the photos, “A… B… C…” Nope, nothing is registering here!
The man starts getting slightly frustrated as he’s nervous that there might be something wrong with the pregnancy. His wife then helps give him a couple of clues – and after several more moments, it finally clicks.
He holds up his fingers and asks to confirm the news, “We’re having three babies?” He then counts them out, “one, two, three…” Stephanie’s husband seems in shock about it all.
But then it all really hits him…in the best way possible! He laughs and responds, “Three? Are you serious?” He then asks Stephanie, “Why is that bad? That’s amazing!”
Pregnant mom Stephanie makes it a little more real by saying, “We’re having three babies…” Her husband stops like a deer in headlights before yelling out a loud (but excited) expletive. He deserves at least one, don’t you think?
After recovering from his mind being blown – the man asks all the right questions that should earn him a prize. “Are they healthy? Is everything as it should be?”
Despite it probably being the most shocking news of his life, he quickly lets it sink in. He expresses his happiness and the fact that they probably need a bigger house (that’s for sure!).
It’s a clip that’s not only hilarious, but it also warms your heart like nobody’s business. People have shared their reactions online, with one person writing:
