In addition, Canseco has offered for those on the expedition to meet “a real alien.” Here are the crazy details of this once-in-a-lifetime offer from the former baseball legend.

Best known for smashing home runs right beside fellow Bash Bro Mark McGwire as a part of MLB’s Oakland A’s, Canseco later was implicated in a steroid-use scandal. It seems the former baseball superstar has taken an interest in a totally different subject matter since his playing days, though, namely UFOs and cryptids, including Bigfoot and ETs.

The baseball star is known for his bizarre views on a wide range of subject matter and often makes cryptic posts on his Twitter account. In addition to his posts about his Bigfoot hunt, Canseco has made other bizarre posts about the paranormal in the past, including some about vampires, aliens, and time travel.

In one of his most recent Twitter posts, Canseco offers to go on a Bigfoot hunt with five individuals for the sum of $5,000 each. And while you might think finding Bigfoot in Nevada is pretty unlikely, sightings of the elusive creature in the area have been reported as far back as the early 1970s. Most recently, Bigfoot was spotted in the Lake Tahoe area.
According to an initial recorded message received in February when calling the phone number listed:
“Spend the weekend with Jose for $5,000 cash. Only five lucky individuals will get a golden ticket. Oompa-Loompas ain’t got nothing on Bigfoot. Travel in his custom RV to authentic alien sightings and proven Bigfoot habitats. Camp out in the wild. Tell stories and maybe meet a real Bigfoot. You never know what’s gonna happen with Mr. Canseco. (Food included) Only serious inquiries please. I will help you book your flights to Vegas and set itineraries. Thank you. Morgan”
Hunting for Bigfoot in Las Vegas
Canseco and his fellow hunters will travel via custom RV to various locals where Bigfoot has been sighted. And while the initial excursion, tentatively planned for April, might be full by now, plans are in the works for additional Bigfoot hunts down the road.

Tweets about Canseco’s Bigfoot adventure ranged from ridicule to shows of support. And while reaction was mixed, a majority of those responding where obviously skeptical of the outfielder’s offer. In the past, Canseco has posted some pretty bizarre tweets, the most famous of which was his claim that aliens had given him the secrets of time travel.
