Hospital workers all over the world are heroes. That has never been more prevalent than it is right now during this pandemic crisis. Hospital staff go into the field with the intention to help and save lives. Right now, they are even putting their own lives on the line to do so.

Yet, every hero deserves to have some fun on the job at times like the employees at Logan Hospitalโ€™s Emergency Department in Queensland, Australia.

Before the pandemic crisis hit Australia, these hospital employees took part in the Git Up Challenge.

The Git Up Challenge started by Blanco Brownโ€™s song, โ€œThe Git Up.โ€ This country song has the dance already in the lyrics. Individuals, friends, firefighters, police officers, and medical staff all over the world took part in the challenge.

The Logan Hospitalโ€™s Emergency Department took the challenge very seriously. Their staff said,

โ€œThe song by Blanco Brown is inspiring a new generation of country music fans, including staff at Logan Hospitalโ€™s Emergency Department. The staff put on an impressive performance on their day off, after countless rehearsals at lunchtime and after work. Logan Hospital staff said it was great team building, exercise and stress relief.โ€

What a creative and fun way to create team camaraderie and stress relief for the department! The emergency department employees have constant stress through their entire shifts, so this must have been fun to prepare for together. This department did not just have a few staff members join in, they had many.

Many entries into The Git Up Challenge showcase more than just the dance but have included an entire music video with other aspects. Logan Hospital was no different and they went all out. The video begins with three employees looking at their phone and as the song says โ€œgrab your loved onesโ€ they call over two more.

If you thought it was only going to be the five of them, youโ€™ll be surprised when the next scene is with sixteen people about to do the Git Up.

All the rehearsal and practice time paid off for these hospital employees because they look like country dancing professionals. If they do not want to work at the hospital anymore, they could start teaching line dancing to others.

Who knew that country music was such a hit in Australia?

Their Git Up Challenge video made sure to not only have one big group line dance, but to also showcase smaller groups.

These smaller groups are when you really see everyoneโ€™s personality shine. The lyrics to Blanco Brownโ€™s song say โ€œhave a good timeโ€ many times. These dancers are taking those lyrics seriously because they are all having a great time.
