There’s something about music that truly brings people together. Music is a common language between all human beings and it can evoke powerful emotions. No matter your race, gender, or age — music is vital in life.
Music is used to help us celebrate or get in a good mood but it can also help us get through tough times. How many times have you been at a party or a restaurant and your favorite song comes on? Immediate happiness.
The opposite could also be true — a certain song may come on the radio and transport you back to a time that wasn’t so pleasant. Music is such an incredibly powerful tool that holds so much meaning.

The young busker begins to strum on the guitar playing a rendition of “Summertime” by Ella Fitzgerald — the old homeless man begins to sing and exerts a voice that no one ever expected.
The man’s voice is weathered but beautiful and he continues to sing effortlessly with the busker. It’s as if they had been practicing for weeks. The power of music is obviously clear in this moment.
Both of the men, although completely different on the surface, are extremely similar in the soul. If it hadn’t been for their passions for music — this incredible moment would have never happened.
People walking by can’t help but stop and listen to this awesome impromptu performance. They seem almost taken aback by the unexpected duo and the impressive voice coming from the homeless man.
These two men may never see each other again but they will always remember this amazing moment that was caught on camera. All differences aside — we are human beings. Music is such a wonderful tool to remind us all of that.
