With COVID restrictions keeping many of us quarantined and stuck inside for most of the day, we’ve had to find unique ways to entertain ourselves.
Whether it’s through newly-created games, funny dances, or just chilling with the people that we love, entertainment is never too far away if we’re willing to put in a little creative effort.
For one couple, dancing to the song, Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne, was their latest boredom-killing idea.
In the video below you can watch their choreographed dance that takes place right in their living room.
It begins with a woman starting the song on her laptop and walking back a few steps in order to get herself fully in the frame.
She poses there, waiting for the music to come in.
Behind her, her dog chews happily away on its favorite toy.
A piano starts to play and the woman raises her fingers and begins to move them as if she’s the one that’s playing the piano.
The lyrics start and the woman lip-syncs to them, moving her arms into the air.
She finishes the first verse and then her partner jumps into the frame.
He does so right as the song hits a high-pitched vocal part that repeats, “oh oh oh” over and over again.
Her partner, mouth open, pretends to sing the oh’s as she waits for him to finish.
The next verse comes in and the woman lip-syncs to this as well, moving her body to the beat of the song.
It’s followed by another round of the oh’s and her partner nails these once again.
The beat of the song picks up and the couple starts to dance and move around to it.
They take turns moving in and out of the frame, each one of them interpreting the beat and the lyrics with their own unique movements.
When the chorus hits, the two of them jump back to back and dance together.
They spin around to face each other, grab each other’s hands, and dance back and forth together.
Then they lock their arms behind each other’s neck and begin to spin around in circles.
Throughout all of this, the song is playing really fun and upbeat music, with playful lyrics to match.
The couple seems to be having as much fun dancing as we are watching them.
They stop spinning and turn to face the camera.
Once squared up, they begin a shuffle dance that goes from the left to right, and then back to the left.
The chorus ends and the woman takes center stage once again to lip-sync the lyrics.
Her partner leaves the frame before poking his head back in to do the, oh oh oh’s.
The couple runs through another few verses and choruses before the song ends.
When the woman stops the song, she can be seen and heard letting out a little laugh.
It’s awesome that this couple was able to be so free and let loose with each other.
If you are still stuck at home quarantining and looking for things to do, try choreographing a dance to one of your favorite songs.
Just be sure to film it so that we can all enjoy it with you.
